Hi LauraHW - yep my boy, now 3, would only sleep for 30 minute cycles which of course meant he was grizzly and tired and we were tetchy and beside ourselves, then one day he slept for a 3 hour nap - who knows why as we'd already tried most things which had made no difference! I'm with Saffron, it was a stage that he grew out of. Good luck and keep strong, it does get better / easier! :)

Have just used Terry based on this forums comments and am so glad not only for this forum which is amazing but also a HUGE thank you to Terry who at very short notice did some painting, sanding, grouting and more. My 3 year old son has been going since September and after initial settling in issues (more down to him than the pre school) loves it. The outside space is one of the best dedicated spaces we saw, the staff all seem lovely / fair / caring / chatty, the head office is very easy to deal with, feedback is freely given, suggestions are taken on board. We brush at night for him and in the morning at the same time. Yes it's hard in the heat of the moment but I guess if something is practised enough it eventually becomes second nature. Had the same problem and the end result was he stopped drinking milk so we supplemented with yogurts, cheese and milk in food (mac cheese etc). A year on, if we offer milk or water in a cup / glass he'll happily accept both.
