  4. Morning, could anyone suggest a local dermatologist good with toddlers. Thanks
  5. Our nanny works for 3 families - Mon, Wed & Thurs for 2 families and Tues & Fri for the 3rd family.
  6. My 23 month old has been in a nanny share since he was 6 months old and gets lots of interaction, both one to one and in groups. Our nanny meets up with other nannies and stay at home mums plus the other 2 boys in the nanny share are around after school & during the school holidays. He's currently got a social group ranging between 16 months and 8 years old. For me it's been the best solution and would thoroughly recommend a nanny share. Of course it all depends on the nanny you employ. Advocates of nurseries and/or child minders may have a different opinion. Good luck in whatever you decide.
  7. Bought mine from The Nappy Lady, so far don't seem to work on Sainsburys vests.
  8. Here's one opinion on how much sleep is needed - http://www.babycentre.co.uk/baby/sleep/sleepneeded/
  9. 2nd vote for La Bassine http://www.madeinwater.co.uk/
  10. We tried for 4 years including 4 rounds of unsuccessful IVF and then had a baby naturally when I was 40. We saw Paul Serhal at CRGH for our last round of treatment and also again recently as at 42 we'd like another but nature's not playing ball! We're of a similar mind to you in that IVF is not right for us and in our experience Paul doesn't beat around the bush or push IVF if he feels it's not right for the individual http://www.crgh.co.uk/ There's also these sites for more info.... http://www.thefertilitysupportcompany.co.uk/Index.aspx http://www.emmacannon.co.uk/ http://www.infertilitynetworkuk.com/ Feel free to PM me if you'd like any more info
  11. Oatmeal in the bath worked a treat - don't forget to put it in tights or similar..! :) Rock salt was also suggested to us to help with London water
  12. My little boy came out in eczema recently - for what seemed like no apparent reason. I decided not to go down the steroid route and instead saw the homeopathist on Lordship Lane http://www.dulwichtherapyrooms.co.uk/#/homeopathy/4522469338 and also used a cream called SOS by Barefoot Botanicals. If you preferred they offer a 15 minute FREE consultation http://www.dulwichtherapyrooms.co.uk/#/clinic-management/4523173233
  13. I have Bee (20 months on) and although it's great would def go for a carry cot version next time. Saves all the strapping in faff for tiny ones and also as mrsf says can double up as travel cot
  14. Can't help locally but needed a therapist for my niece in the New Forest so looked on this site which was helpful as a starting point and also allowed us to chat to a few different people before going ahead with one that suited our needs. http://www.helpwithtalking.com/find-a-therapist

  16. If not talking yet - http://www.singandsign.com/ though it is a course. My 20 month chatter box would still go as found it so much fun...! Pay as you go music session above Soup Dragon http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?25,735271,735271#msg-735271 http://whippersnappers.org/ - haven't tried it myself yet http://www.talkingtots.info/ - haven't tried it myself yet http://www.thecreationstation.co.uk/ - haven't tried it myself yet
  17. My now 19 month old was a tummy sleeper pretty much from birth otherwise no one was going to get any sleep - did we worry, hell yeah but worked out okay for us in the long run.
  18. This link had an Excel activity list on it, not sure how up to date it is - http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?29,527698,561282#msg-561282
  19. Acupuncture worked a treat for me, saw this lady http://www.thefertilitysupportcompany.co.uk/Index.aspx
  20. Not advice just what we do - we currently share with a family with 2 school age boys and we split things 50/50
  21. Generally if it's baby stuff & obviously packaged as such (even bottles and beakers count) they leave you in peace, I've been asked to taste various things but that's about all.
  22. So agree with cuppatea & saffron. If I'm lucky enough to have a 2nd one I will spend less time worrying about 'spoiling' and 'routines' and more time cuddling, carrying and co-sleeping..! :)
  23. Went today and yes busy but still fun. If you enter through main gates walk straight up the hill to the top and then turn right, sign directs you to paddling pool, follow the path round and down to the left and you'll see it at the bottom. Have fun. :)
  24. Slipper socks - we searched ebay and used some like these, lots of other suppliers on there too http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Babys-toddlers-non-slip-sole-slipper-socks-BNWT-/400181186230?pt=Baby_Clothing&var=&hash=item9bff5ca0a4#ht_572wt_907
