  1. Thanks Fuschia, to be honest up to now I wasn't worrying about it as thought we'd just go with the flow, not make a scene over meal times & he'd drop it when ready (like his morning nap which he can't seem to manage without either...!) But then I heard about the iron concern. Yep gave up breast feeding when he was 1. His morning & daytime milk is from his NUK beaker but with a teat as he refuses the beaker top! Then his bedtime one is from the bottle. I also tried moving him on to a non spill beaker but he refused that too. He drinks lots of water and will happily take that from his non spill beaker. Milk is first thing at 6.30/7am ish then again at 0930 when he has a 30 minute nap, 1pm ish before his afternoon nap, then 3.30pm and 6.30pm It's not like he's fussy about certain foods and for example only wants yoghurt as he'll happily turn that down too. He's just not that interested in food full stop. Mary, Mary quite contrary. :)
  2. Went the whole baby led weaning route but my little man has decided he most certainly prefers milk to food. Currently 15 months and although will eat a small breakfast & lunch more often than not won't eat dinner. Probably has about 32oz milk a day! Have tried cutting down on the daytime milk but he just has more at bedtime and I give in to that as he's a good sleeper and don't want to ruin that. Should I be concerned? Any tips to encourage him?
  3. Thanks ladies, department stores here I come!
  4. I didn't start life with huge boobs but after breast feeding for a year they're now even smaller! :( Any advice on where to buy bikinis and/or swimsuits that can give me a bust? Tried La Senza but they're not quite right and Figleaves seems oh so expensive. Thanks
  5. Sorry no specific advice but hope this helps a little. My now 15 month old also used to wake twice a night and went through a period from about 5 to 7 months when he'd nap for no longer than 30 minutes at a time. He was totally exhausted & irritable and of course as I'd just gone back to work thought it was all my fault. One Sunday I had a total guilt meltdown and he chose to sleep for a 2.5 hour nap! His naps then varied in length but he did eventually settle in to what I see as a decent amount of time. So with any luck it's just a phase.
  6. Thanks for the tips, have a friend with an Ergo so will try it out.
  7. We're looking for a sling or similar for a 14 month old (though would like to be able to use it for a year or so) to use in airports, around town etc rather than the pushchair and wondered what people would recommend. I've been looking at the Little Life Ultralight carrier (picture attached) but ahve also heard good things about the Ergo. Any thoughts of which one to go for and which to avoid? Thanks
  8. Adding a small amount of salt to the boiled water also works a treat
  9. http://www.thegundocklands.com/ Been with ours, have high chairs - bit on the large size so we padded with coats etc. Have a private room for 16 if you wanted privacy

  11. Definitely a good thing and yes sign up before April if you can, here's who I use, the website gives you a lot of info but they're also helpful if you wanted to call them - http://www.computersharevoucherservices.com/Pages/default.aspx
  12. Yes this time does pass. :) It all depends on you & your baby and how you want to deal with things as I don't think there's a right or wrong way, just your way. Hang in there and try and nap in the daytime when you can.
  13. I found it helped a lot - I don't use it anymore but he's now 11 months old! I bought this one and played on repeat - http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/help-your-baby-sleep-through/id292705464
  14. Response I received yesterday from the manager.... Dear Cathy, Hope you are well. Its been a few weeks since your correspondence, and I wanted to update you ref the parent and baby parking at Sainsburys Dulwich. The same week you raised the issue, I up weighted our contract with Euro car parks, who manage the car park. We changed the attendant, and I asked him to focus the majority of his time around the disabled and parent and baby spaces. During the 6 weeks, Paul issued over 80 parking tickets to drivers who abused these spaces, the majority of which were within the first 4 weeks. The abuse has certainly lessened, which demonstrates that drivers are getting the message. With regards to the lack of double child trolleys, we had another 15 delivered 2 weeks ago. As you are probably aware, we purposely do not have baby trolleys fitted with the ?1 locking system, to enable parents to use them without the hassle of trying to release them at the same time as dealing with the children. This in itself means that we do lose these specialist trolleys more frequently than normal shopping trolleys. I am keen to hear whether you have found the availability of both the parking and the trolleys has improved over the past couple of weeks. I also read the east dulwich forum on a regular basis now, which I find very informative, and in fact have acted on some of the comments I read. Best regards Andy
  15. Hi, does anyone have the new Bugaboo Bee? Have you worked out how to lengthen the straps. Once you stick a coat on my 11 month old it's very tight so heaven help him as he grows. Any tips gratefully received. Thanks

  17. Also Sainsburys have some great reusable breast pads (in the nappy aisle) that you can have either hot or cold and work a treat for blocked ducts and so much easier to fit in your bra than a hot water bottle..!
  18. these look fun http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Baby-Toddler-Unisex-Trousers-Leggings_W0QQitemZ250653759624QQcategoryZ14738QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp4012.m8QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DMW%26its%3DC%26itu%3DUCC%26otn%3D15%26po%3DLCA%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D5249277523531426991#ht_1898wt_907
  19. Can anyone suggest the best and/or cheapest buggy for a 13 month old to use at airports. Thanks
  20. Visited the pool today and left my LO with the creche - thought the pool was lovely - light, bright & airy and the creche great - clean, lots of toys, friendly staff. My only bug bear would be that the creche isn't open at weekends too - I work 3 days a week,my hubby isn't always around and we don't have family in London. Other than that it gets a thumbs up from me.
  21. Believe admin are looking in to it and contacting the manager, I've also screen grabbed all comments and sent them to him
  22. And the second one, Forum Administrator would you be able to contact the manager & address the issue he has with accessing the forum? ... Dear Cathy Thanks for getting back to us so swiftly. I'm glad Andy, the Store Manager is able to address your concerns with parent and child car parking spaces and double trolley provision at our Dulwich store. Andy wasn't able to open your forum link as our store system wouldn't allow access, so he could not get any more information about this. He is regularly in touch with your local council and is keen to know about such forums in the community. Unfortunately this one has not been brought to his attention until now, so it may be helpful if you can also provide Andy with some more information about this when you get in touch with him. I'm happy for you to post my response on your forum and trust Andy will be able to bring the issues you've raised to a conclusion and is looking forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience. We appreciate you taking the time to get in touch with us and look forward to seeing you next time you visit us in store. Kind regards Denise McIntosh Customer Manager
