  1. I'm hoping to go Ruth and my boy is 6 months.
  2. A friend has been taking her boy to these lessons in London Bridge since he was about 3 months old. http://www.littledippers.co.uk/
  3. P.S - there's also a close up shot of the cast
  4. Fair do's - guess I wanted to be sure someone who'd actually done it before responded rather than a winger - you see in ad land if you ask a model/actor if they can ride a horse or speak a foreign language they always say yes and you don't always find out until it's too late...! So I was just applying the same theory across the board :-)
  5. :-) Glad to be of assistance in providing amusement though it's all perfectly legit - out of interest what was so funny?
  6. What age group kiddies are coming to this?
  7. Hi, I'm looking for someone that can apply a medically accurate plaster cast to an arm/hand for a short film. Needed on rehearsal day, date TBC but either Monday 5th July or Thursday 8th July in London Bridge. Don't have a big budget but willing to pay for time & expenses

  9. Now I'm all for the day that I can choose a top without having to consider it's breast feeding functionality or wondering whether it'll expose my no longer flat stomach, have more than a thimble of wine and not worry that my 6 month old is going to be distracted in public and leave my boob hanging in the wind...! However, 'creepy' is not a word I'd have ever used to describe breast feeding and especially if I was the deputy editor of a baby magazine! Plenty of articles out there on it and yes I did plump for The Suns version out of choice. :-) http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/woman/parenting/3033465/Is-breastfeeding-really-creepy.html
  10. Hey dulwichmum, if you ever need someone else to 'review' anything then I'm sure I could be of help. Especially those of the restaurants, handbags & heels variety..! :-)
  11. Kinda felt it was a 'beautiful' way of getting the message across rather than the usual shock, horror scare tactics, but maybe I've just been working in advertising too long! :-)
  12. My 6 month old is in shortie with 1 tog sleeping bag - baby monitor going ballastic in background as says room is 23 degrees and the window is open....!
  13. Hi ClareC, we're in the same position and were advised that we would not be able to employ the nanny through our business as childcare/nanny etc didn't fall in to the current nature of what our Ltd company is listed as doing. The one thing we have done is to register for the full value of childcare vouchers thus negating some tax. You don't have to pay yourselves a silly salary to do this. Good luck.
  14. I'd second the washables
  15. Have some friends coming over for one of their 40th's but they're not Londoners so always want to go out centrally. :-( I'd prefer to avoid this so any suggestions for great restaurants, cocktails & even dancing would be most appreciated. Happy to travel just don't fancy the West End much. Thanks
  16. Cheers folks, got a couple of suggestions as also put it in the business section but yep will also try the general section.

  18. Hi, does anyone have one I could borrow from Friday to Monday of this week? Thanks
  19. Unintentionally our now 5 month old went in to his own room at about 3 months, he outgrow the moses basket & crib pretty quickly - if not literally then mentally as he likes to stretch out flat on his stomach when sleeping with his arms quite wide...! So yes not only was he in another room but he was also sleeping on his stomach - initially it was just day time naps and the first part of the evening, coming in to our bed at the 11am feed but stopped that after a week or so. He's now rolling both ways so don't feel as tense about him wanting to sleep on his stomach. I'd agree with the comments that it stopped me from jumping to every whimper/gurgle/coo/gabble/squeak which I did do when he was in the room with us, I don't think it did him any favours as sometimes he wasn't grizzling and really didn't need me interrupting whatever phase of the sleep cycle he was in. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
  20. Hi Ruth, BIG congrats and have fun in Lisbon. We recently went to Majorca with our 4.5 month old, checked the buggy in with our other bags (just had to take it to the oversized section) and then used the sling whilst at the airport, for me it was the easiest way to do things as when he fell asleep I was able to just leave him on me and get hubby to put the seat belt on us both rather than waking him and having a grumpy baby on the flight. However we're pretty light packers so I only had the baby bag & hubby his camera bag so very little else bar baby to carry. Depending on who you're flying take seats with a gap (so if a three configuration take the window & outside ones) and then let everyone coming towards you see you have a baby, generally they then avoid you! :-) So unless the flight is full or you're flying with someone nicer than Ryan Air or Easyspace you get that extra seat for the three of you. If you can pre book seats then I'd still go for booking a 3 as most people will still avoid a single seat and will generally swap if they do end up sitting between you & hubby - all sounds a bit complicated in how I've explained things but hopefully you get the general gist of it..! Have fun.
  21. I haven't started weaning my baby yet but have just bought this book which is only about giving finger foods - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Baby-led-Weaning-Helping-Your-Baby/dp/0091923808/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1275061768&sr=8-1-spell
