  1. I'm still watching it now. I don't listen when Cameron & Clegg open their mouths because they talk so much crap.
  2. No! He's not very fair/humane and he's played by an English actor not a Scottish one.
  3. Very close Salsaboy, but not right. The clues so far: This character is down under but quite close This person is fair, humane and played by a Scot Despite the distance, he is only two days away The screenwriter/producer of the series is also responsible for 'The Lakes' and 'Cracker' Oh, and he wears a uniform And yes, he'll be on TV in a couple of hours. I need the name of the character, NOT the actor and NOT the series.
  4. Sorry, no. Not Neil Oliver and definitely not Poldark.
  5. I think it will be just as creepy in the dark, whether it's lit or not. I walk through there in the daytime and it's fine. However, the bit in the middle when you get to the top of the hill & before it slopes down again feels quite lonely & a potentially bad section for people nervous about walking alone. It's so narrow & secluded, it's just a shame it couldn't be widened/opened up instead. I haven't seen the police there very often either.
  6. As much as I like 'Poldark', I look forward to this twice as much. It's a great series.
  7. Yay! I thought that was an easy clue. All you need now is a TV guide & a character/actor list.
  8. No! On Tuesday he was 2 days away. So what does that mean? Oh, and he wears a uniform.
  9. If people don't have the odd guess, I'm going to forget to post clues! The screenwriter/producer of the series is also responsible for 'The Lakes' and 'Cracker'
  10. A good original post from Foxy. Everyone knows my views on this subject. I have no desire to get into a debate/argument so this will be my only contribution to the thread.
  11. The reason I don't eat meat/seafood is because I DO care about animals. I'm sure lots of vegetarians do feel the same as me even if they are not vegan. I use dairy-free products personally but I don't live alone so unfortunately have to share the fridge with my daughter's milk etc. To each his own. I trust the organic, free-range eggs I buy & would never buy any others. Haresfield Farm, Wiltshire. They are available from a home delivery company that I use.
  12. No! Despite the distance, he is only two days away
  13. No. Good answer though. This person is fair, humane and played by a Scot
  14. Almost 2 weeks so it must be time I posted a new clue: This character is down under but quite close
  15. I'm using my real name on TFL but would still have joined if I'd known. How are you doing? Can you divulge how many points you have?!
  16. I didn't know there was one. I don't remember you mentioning it. I'm just in a league with family members (7 of us) I would've added my team to the EDF one if I'd known. Next season?
  17. red devil Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > My heart said a 2-1 Utd win, but I always let my > head rule my predictions so stuck to 2-2... That's why you do so well. I let my head rule in games that don't involve certain teams, but there are two teams (Everton & Swans) that I just have to predict wins for regardless of who they are playing and a few other teams (Palace, Chelsea,Spurs & Man U) who I rarely predict to lose. If any of them play each other I just go 0-0 as I can't pick one over the other. I think it's because I have a TFL fantasy team, made up of all players from the above teams. They are all good so I have faith in predicting a win. Heart just takes over!
  18. Thanks RC. So was I the only one who predicted a 2-1 Utd win? Surely not.
  19. I can just imagine you roaring around ED in a striped tomato. No idea where you can buy tyres for them!
  20. Thanks guys. I've been without internet for a couple of days. So good to be back & so pleased all my teams did so well.
  21. You read my mind Salsa ;-) Well done. Your turn :)
  22. You thought I would know maxxi? Yes, I was around all those years ago, as you obviously were too! The date & the overweight sweaty chap clue gave it away. It was my favourite ever programme at the time. I just googled it and was amazed to see that all 51 episodes are available on DVD (Amazon) so think I might have to buy them. So glad you took your turn or I'd never have known that this fab series isn't lost forever. Back soon with a clue & It's going to be something more recent.
  23. Fitzhugh / Land of the Giants
  24. You too :)
  25. I'm predicting a Utd win.
