Please do not call me ignorant because I feed foxes & pigeons. They have just as much right to be here as we do, and are just trying to survive, as we are. Animal haters will jump on the nearest bandwagon, be it cats, dogs, foxes, rats, mice, pigeons, green parakeets, whatever is trending. I feel very sorry for the lost chickens because they have a right to be here too. But, maybe their owners need to protect them better with stronger fox-proof housing. Hungry foxes will obviously attack chickens because they are starving.......which is why I feed them. As for a cull? The thought of it makes me sick to the stomach. Sophiescarlett89, I commend you for your comments on this thread. If you do ever set up a fox sanctuary in your garden, I wish you so much good luck as would like to do the same, but not possible for me x
  2. Surely, turning vegetarian is becoming a very tempting option? Given the latest findings..... Who knows what they will find next, and where it will be? So glad I don't eat meat.
  3. Leave it outside for a passing fox.
  4. This is a really good campaign & people should care, if only to help staff in the retail sector. Fortunately, my boss doesn't have the door open in winter, but does, as soon as the better weather comes. Shopkeepers seem to think that more customers will flock through an open door, rather than a closed one. Not sure about this myself. I think they will come in regardless. What about pubs? I used to work in one where the door was always open in spring & autumn when it was really quite cold. I remember standing behind the bar shivering!

  7. Vegetarian bacon in Warburtons half & half bread, with Pure soya spread & brown sauce
  8. I use the 343 every day, but don't think I've encountered this man. Where does he get on/off the bus?
  9. I actually don't. Maybe a veggie burger during the next BB, (If we haven't fallen out again by then!)

  11. Is anybody else still watching? Final tonight. I'm still voting Rylan.

I better stop buying my 8 x veggie burgers for ?1 then!!
  13. Rylan to win! Didn't want him to win X Factor as it was a singing competition, & good singers were voted off, while he stayed. However, CBB is about entertaining, personality & likeability & he has it all. Also the most genuine. AC, Hope you are reading this. It's the first thing we have in common! :)
  14. Belgian type chocolates that are making me feel quite sick! Orange & Lemon slices. Making these last as they are not available all year & are SOooo nice.
  15. PaulK Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > There is no excuse at all to buy eight beef > burgers for a pound. Any one purchasing eight beef > burgers for a pound is a chav. Some people can't even afford to eat, let alone eat healthily. If they can buy 8 burgers for ?1 and their kids get a hot meal, doesn't mean they are thick, just means they are doing their best to look after their families as best they can. PaulK - As I'm veggie, this thread doesn't apply to me anyway, but not for the first time, I find your attitude appalling.

Hope the works remedy the problem > people have been moaning about on here for ages. I use buses weekdays & on Saturdays during rush-hour. No comparison. There is hardly any traffic at all on a Saturday
  17. Josian, My post was referring to keeping my own small dogs (shih tzu x yorkies) safe from attack by other dogs. It has nothing to do with dog aggression in general. Yes, the top 7 aggressive dogs on your list include other toy breeds, but my point is, if one of my dogs was attacked or got into a fight with any of these, they would be able to hold their own/survive the attack. If the same thing happened with No.8 on your list, or indeed a staffie, they could be killed.

We all have a right to be here, So learn to live alongside our fellow living creatures, And stop complaining about them.
  19. And a 343 went straight on into Peckham, at the Nunhead Lane junction instead of turning left!
  20. Felt quite sad for Paula. Read in the paper today that her best friend is a coconut. She sounds as eccentric as me!! :)

Somebody on another thread is complaining about the noise foxes make. I've been listening to it for years, in the middle of the night/early hours. But I still put any leftover food out for them, because they too are trying to survive. Leave them all alone & learn to live alongside them. They have just as much right to be here as we do.
  22. I got on the 37 bus this morning at Peckham Rye at 8.15 am & arrived at Herne Hill at 9.05! There are roadworks at the Junction by Alleyns school & more at the one by North Dulwich station. Combined with the school run & the rush hour, horrendous delays. The tailback was the whole way along East Dulwich Grove as far back as Lordship lane. Does anyone have any idea how long this will be going on? What with the delays around Peckham Rye as well, it will be a nightmare trying to get to work on time.

I'm not unemployed, not elderly, not a stay at home parent & not a student. I may not be completely sane, but I do work hard.... And I never miss an episode!
