  1. Alfred Hitchcock movies? Watching 'The Birds' as felt I had to, after watching 'The Girl'last night. Did anyone else watch this? Makes you see Hitch in a different light
  2. I know how you feel. It's a new year soon, so hang on in there. Somebody may listen one day... And if not... It's their loss.
  3. Aztec, Cabana & Amazin' raisin' bars!
  4. KidKruger Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Puffa Puffa Rice I loved that! It tasted of sugar puffs, but looked like ricycles.
  5. So was I the only one who found nothing to watch on telly?!
  6. Your post proves how truly ignorant you are. I despair. Bowing out of this thread now because it's making me sick.
  7. I don't read the Guardian either!

I bet that post has made your day & given you the best xmas present ever?
  9. Only just seen this thread. The seventies were brill! I left school & started working in Woolworths on the Pick n'Mix counter. Couldn't wait til I was 18 so that I could run my own Freemans catalogue!
  10. Having decent programmes to watch on Xmas day. Great one-off dramas and movie premieres. What do we get now? The Lord Of The Rings (great film, but I've seen it twice already) Downton Abbey (fine if you follow it, I don't!) Call The Midwife (don't watch that either) All the soaps (all rubbish) Thank goodness for Top Of The Pops & Paul O'Grady at Battersea dogs home!
  11. Don't worry Parkdrive, I'm used to my comments falling on deaf ears. It's been happening for nearly 3 years. But I won't give up! Merry xmas
  12. Merry Christmas everyone, Especially the ones who are vegetarian and/or animal lovers, Also the ones that have interesting things to say And the ones that regularly make me laugh. Even the ones that regularly p*** me off with their stupid comments. It's christmas so I forgive you (but only for today!) Have a great day xxx
  13. I bet you can't wait for season 3 though! I can't. So addictive. Sunday nights won't be the same without it.

Don't you realise that some people detest cruelty to animals? So they get ANGRY reading posts like yours.
  16. Marmora Man, It's not about meat-eating in general, it's about HOW foie gras is made & the suffering endured to produce it. Loz, I not only find your posts appalling, but your attitude too. If anyone disagrees strongly with something, of course they are going to campaign against it. *Bob* mentions fox-hunting. The majority of people hated the cruelty, tried to stop it & it was eventually banned. If these people hadn't forced their views on others, it would still be going on.

I'm still here, You're still here, The zombies obviously didn't want either of us, so we both live to fight another day!!
  18. Loz, you are comparing a 'live' duck with a potato? Shame on you, if you can't see the difference.
  19. Was hoping all the meat eaters would be eaten, but looks like they are still here. Haven't seen any zombies yet in Nunhead. If they knock on my door, I have plenty of lettuce leaves available, as Maxxi said they prefer these!
  20. My Dad likes malt whiskey. I bought him Talisker once & he hated it. He loves Glenmorangie.
  21. It was still burning last night at 6.30 pm, gates were locked & no workmen to be seen.
  22. I'll be ok as they will probably only eat meat eaters & I must only taste of vegetables!
  23. I only advise Quorn as a meat alternative because it is more readily available. Also, meat eaters that turn veggie may prefer something that at least looks like meat. Yes, I am aware that originally Marlow foods used eggs from battery hens, but that was years ago. Redwood's & Fry's do excellent meat alternatives, but are only available at larger branches of Holland & Barrett & are a lot more expensive than supermarket sold Quorn products which are often on special offer so more people are likely to try it.
  24. It's not about whether you should eat meat/be vegetarian. It's about how the animals are treated prior to their deaths. So read the report & watch the video. Is this an ok way to treat living things??
  25. Can't wait!
