These sites do not keep their main finances in America. They are companies based in Malta and various other tax havens. The only accounts that the FBI can freeze are those actually held in the USA and restrict the transfer of money to and from the accounts of US nationals with bank accounts in the US. Players and accounts outside of America are not affected.

But I didn't lose on United because Paddypower had a deal that if the game saw a red card, all losing bets would be refunded....ha ha...cheers Paul Scholes, I lost nothing and Paddypower lost a fortune lol. I really do find the best gambling deals in town. You asked about Hernandez. He's not a player that is so effective as a lone striker. He needs an anchorman to run off from and with Rooney suspended I suspect Ferguson's thinking was that Berbatov would do better as a lone striker if he got isolated. Once Scholes was sent off there was no hope of Hernandez being effective. Both teams were playing a similar game/ formation but after half time City were the team who upped the tempo and basically went out to win the game. Worth mentioning though that were it not for Joe Hart (who imo was the real man of the match) United would have been at least 1-0 up at half time.

SE22 Car Insurance cost up 71% from last year
DJKillaQueen replied to rowerdk's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
There have been a few articles in the press over recent days about increases in premiums being anything between 17% and 54%. The main reasons given by the industry are those mentioned above, huge increases in accident fraud and ambulance chasing. There also have been calls to end the legal trade of selling accident details to legal firms. -
OMG..that is scary! Thank goodness I put a wink icon at the end.....

Off to firebomb the place now ;)

Attempted mugging on Marmora Road (22nd Feb)
DJKillaQueen replied to StevoR's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Make sure you report it to the Police if you haven't already. -
Also a cyclist that leaves the scene of an accident is committing the same offence as a driver who does so. There is no excuse for any cyclist jumping red lights, hitting anyone and then cycling off, as I think every one would agree. On the London roads though, cyclists do have to be assertive and ride defensively.

Will this company go bankrupt if the strike continues? That to me seems to be the only question to ask. It is not true to say that all strikes are valid or a last resort. They are sometimes used as a means to bully employers (by those unions calling the strike). If a company is failing and needs to make people redundant to save itself, that is a very different proposition to a company making people redundant to maximise efficiency and profit. My view would be that if the survival of the company depeneds on it being able to stay in business during the strike then cross the line. If the company can afford to ride out the strike....then don't cross the line.

Dangerous cycling charge to punish 'Lycra louts'
DJKillaQueen replied to John247's topic in The Lounge
It's not just cyclists those kinds of drivers behave like lunatics towards but motorcyclists too. A blue van cut into a motorcycle I was riding pillion on Saturday causing us to have to break sharply. As we overtook him my driver had a chat with him about cutting him up. The van drivers response was to purposely try and ram us off the road as we overtook him (which being a motorcycle we could do easily) - just crazy and a manouvre that could have killed both me and the motorcycle driver. One day he will kill someone probably. But until that happens what can any of us do? -

And it's not just cyclist's. Horses for example definitely require safe overtaking distance.....if there's not enough room you just have to wait and be patient. -

I assume he was giving at least this amount of room when overtaking.... -
parent and child spaces in sainsbury's car park

LOL...I understand it's a service and am ambivalent. My indignation was merely at those that think it should be a provided and then enforced service and the justifications they then presented..... Na na na na na...right back at ya ;) -
Peckham Rye is an entirely different matter and is already used by schools who book the pitches both during the week and at weekends. The issue with Peckham Rye is over subscription of the facilities that already exist in a public park. It is not a sports ground and any use by Harris would require turning existing parkland (not designated for sports use) in sports ground.....that is the issue. Alleyns are not applying to do any such thing (nor is it applying to build new facilities on open metropolitain land) so can not see how that is at all relevant to the discussion taking place in this thread as H has already pointed out too. If you are looking for hypocracy in my views you are failing miserably. Why not try sticking to the details of the application? Which simply are (to remind you again) the use of lighting on EXISTING pitches.

parent and child spaces in sainsbury's car park
DJKillaQueen replied to dully's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
How many toddlers under four years of age were accidently injured around cars in the UK last year? 101......of which 21% were examined but did not require treatment, 54% were treated on the spot with no follow-up treatment required. Around 1 in 10 cases were referred to the patient?s GP. So hardly an epidemic of serious injury is it. Edited to add that a third of those cases were to toddlers inside the car..... -

There's no doubt that little people can not be easily seen but you take extra care. Parents should be doing the job of making sure their children cross safely. Why would a toddler be behind a reversing car unsupervised in the first place? I don't have an issue with special parking for anyone as long as the need is justofied. I just don't think that having children is a special need that's all. Disability yes, but children no. Far more parents cope without special parking at the entrances of supermarkets than those that think it's some kind of necessity that will drastically impinge on their ability to shop with the kids safely.
