  1. Sean's buying! Re: Admin and censorship - pls read last atticus threads Posted by: SeanMacGabhann October 19, 06:06PM Marvellous. See you at the Phoenix on the 12th November....... where you get a free beverage of your choice
  2. Who? Huncamunca or Snorky?
  3. Quite!
  4. Thomas, why don't you delete your post in the 'What to do in East Dulwich' thread? It has sort of taken over the thread needlessly and I'm sure the person who started that thread wouldn't have a clue why it's there. I'm sure you wouldn't want The East Dulwich Society of Carnivores posting here! By the way if you started this thread because you couldn't find your original one then click on your name above and it will show you all your posts. Will save you having to start a new thread each time you post on this subject.

  8. I hate to be pedantic LM but you just contradicted your opening post!
  9. Those qualify..........I think!
  10. What Mick may be saying is that VAT is a tax which at whatever rate it is goes to the government. Anyone registered for VAT is acting as a tax collector and nothing else. So the price per unit remains the same. However, with the additional tax, less units may be sold.
  11. Any gems you come across why not post them here? I quite liked this one. Re: Wanted: Female cat for breeding Posted by: huncamunca Today, 10:23AM The truly sad side of cat ownership is that they are pet-lite.No walking, no bagging up shit, comparatively they are no hassle - and thats the problem. In an urban environment where people work long and erratic hours, are forced to rent / buy criminally overpriced & undersized accomodation, are often single and quite often lonely - this is the real issue. Cats fill a niche sadly. We assign them personailties, post pix up on the net and attribute human qualities to them in an effort to ward off the demons of our shite encrusted cul de sac lives of economic slavery and market driven gadget aquisition. The increased level of cat ownership in ED is just an indicator of how compartmentalsised, emasculated and manipulated we have become.

    a joke

Ridgley, you may feel it's ok to write a joke like this as you are black but this one just isn't funny for so many reasons.
  13. In the 'What's On in ED' section there is a thread to do with Ladies Football for fun. Put a message on there and I'm sure someone will contact you.
  14. The Butcher, the Publican and now the Scandalmaker!
  15. Tentative poster me ar@e!
  16. What puzzles me about Rooney is that he claims to be fit yet when he has played his touch has been so poor. I'm not even sure there is a relationship between 'touch' and fitness but he hasn't been the the player he was for some time now including the WC. As for Rooney's statement, every idiot in the land knows Rooney isn't capable of stringing two sentences together in English. I heard Lou Macari on the radio yesterday and he was certain from speaking with the contacts he has at OT that this is all about money and nothing else.
  17. Japers W**f, where do you find this stuff?
  18. So someromes means what?
  19. Apart from the speeding, the problem for drivers trying to cross that Barry Road junction, is the lack of visibility to the right. Sometimes just edging out to get a view feels like you are taking your life and maybe someone else's in your hands. To avoid it I sometimes divert to Silvester Road, turn left onto Barry Road and then take a right to Underhill. This feels slightly safer than the other option.
  20. This sort of died a death. I wonder why?
  21. Mick Mac Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > No - one bet on Rip van Winkle - lost in photo > finish in good race. > > Might do better in the Breeders Cup this year. ?? In case you haven't heard Mick, Rips been retired.
  22. Actually Sue Iceland now charge ?12 for 3 bottles. I know this isn't a wine thread but recently I got a dozen bottles of red from Laithwaites online which worked out cheaper than that and the wines were delicious.
  23. I didn't have much open and found the culprit to be 'beautyscreens' as that appeared in my volume control screen. I appear to have got rid of it by turning windows firewall on. Not sure why it was off!
  24. More precisely has my computer? I'm currently listening to what sounds like a pre-recorded radio programme on financial matters, which turned itself on while I was away from the laptop. I've no idea where it's coming from as my laptop isn't tuned in to any radio stations. I did open what could be a suspect email this morning. Any idea's anyone?
  25. I think Rooney has gone from being an angry young man on the pitch to one who doesn't seem to care. Neither of which I liked. At some point he appears to have stopped enjoying playing football. Who knows why? He can buy out his contract for a year's salary which means that Man U may only get ?5M for him in the summer. Not a big return on a huge investment for someone still only 24. What I wonder is could he really go and settle in Spain, for example. I suspect not. Though he speaks about as little English as Beckham, Beckham seemed to thrive on being a brand. Learning Spanish could be difficult for him as the way of life might be. If he were to go to another English club, why would you buy him and pay him the wages he might demand? He has gone downhill. City would just for spite though. Robbie Keane for Man U? He and Berbie did well in the past!
