  1. Tough luck MarmoraMan. I had no idea there were such parking regulations in your street. Why? It's not adjacent a major row of shops is it. Will he park it in the living room in future or does that sort of behaviour wait till he finds himself a bike-owning girlfriend and moves in with her?
  2. OMG I forgot to add, I am on the SE15 side of the park and EVEN THIS side it is just as beautiful, indeed some of us benefit from a great view across the whole of London as well as the park. When you thinking of moving?
  3. You are thinking of moving by what I call my front garden. I have lived here 26 years. Nunhead Cemetery is my back garden. This is a precious and beautiful place to live and we like to keep it to ourselves. The park - even more so since it benefiited from the ?million of Heritage Lottery Fund to do it up - is absolutely beautiful. But no, stay where you are. ;)
  4. I met MrPR through an ad in Time Out 20 years ago this August. I placed the ad and got 88 replies. I lined up five of 'em. MrPr was number 3. Morning after meeting him I rang up numbers four and five and told them sorry but not worth meeting as I have met my man. True story. And if you PM me I will tell you what my advert was (it was a GREAT line and spoke nothing of my eye colour or 'GSOH' or astrological sign but you have to promise not to put it on here!)
  5. Huggers is female, fool. Anyway, this is a difficult one. I wish you well, HNYN and would merely advise to offload on your good friends. And - Huggers - that was a great description.
  6. I voted for Social Democrats. I am not sure if it was the most sensible thing to have done, but I did exercise my right without voting for the current lot.
  7. I would like to ask a question, but - you know - too many being asked already! Thanks for alerting us to this!
  8. Tonight. Mary Magdalane school Brayards Road on the one way system east of Rye Lane. Some of East Dulwich is covered in the area but the Moderator lounged this last time anyway.
  9. 020 7639 8175 This is the number for the Community Wardens covering the Nunhead and Peckham Rye Area. If the road in question is not in this area, the person answering may be able to tell you the number for the relevant area. You could phone them up and ask what this nonsense was about stopping kids chalking hopscotch grids and pictures on the pavement. Or not.
  10. Agh - have had some PMs from some folk on this site asking more info about the meetings so they might come along. I am not ticking any boxes on my clipboard, mind.
  11. Off you go you patronising bu**er. I do not have any attitude - just that I care and wish people would stop using this forum to whinge on about things that we can't do anything about when they could try and aim to the right people when that opportunity exists. It may help, that's all. Of COURSE it is wrong that the PCSOs did this. Of course I agree it is wrong! So email these two, [email protected] [email protected] tell them you are aware that the Ward Panel meetings are this Thursday and you can not make it. Tell them you would like to be involved as a caring and concerned member of the community. And ask them what they thought about it. I am not sure if the road concerned is in the area concerned so you could ask these two and they can tell you if it is, and if not which area it is in. I have also emailed all the members on the panel and asked them themselves to check in this forum. Maybe they'll read your post and answer it though I doubt any are proactive in the community as SMB Jones is to us with the railway. Who knows if they will or have time to? But I will suggest it. OK I'm off.
  12. If the windows were made with glass that you could not see IN to, they might be better!
  13. At Ward Panel we were told the police CW and PSCOs use discretion on the cycling on pavements issue. See what I mean?
  14. So don't park there again, and then come along and be a productive/constructive member!
  15. Hoorah to Monica. A do-er!
  16. Why don't you come to the Ward Panel meeting on Thursday 11th at 7pm at Harris Girls Academy, meet the police, PCSOs, Community Wardens, and ask them everything you're concerned about, yourselves? Then you'll be aware of the facts. THEN you can stop talking crap and if you DO see a CW or PCSO or even heaven help us a police officer doing something wrong, you all know what's what and can report to their supervisors accordingly. Sorry - bad day. But at least I am giving information!
  17. ... edited because I am an idiot
  18. One hundred years old I believe. More addictive than nicotine. Stops you being able to hold a cigarette.
  19. What doesn't add up? Curious comment there, Matthew123 Anyway, what a frightening thing to have happened? Were they drunk? I hope you are okay and the police took it seriously!
  20. Co-op. Ethically sound.
  21. AfN don't be rude. A reasonable point was made. Off to the NunheadForum with this rudeness, with you.
  22. Oi, behave. Give us a chance.
