'HAHAHA' I'm a biker but not a group type rider. Try "The London Bikers", they do riding together, and there are quite a few of us bikers on here. Ride safely.
I think if someone had the ability to develop an app, we should have to pay for it. For now I either go in via the web, and enlarge the letters so I can read it, or I don't bother.
I rang BT a few weeks ago whinging about the fact our block is the only one in the little estate that has not got Infinity, and the fact that the Broadband was sometimes stopping though to be fair it came back after tioatioa (turning it on and turning it off again!) We have phone telly (I disagree, I think BT Vision is fine though we don't watch a lot of telly) and broadband all with BT and a free VOIP line, with cheaper overseas costs when used. I asked why I should not go with Sky. She cut my bill by ?8 a month and sent me the very latest new Hub. She could not answer why we haven't got Infinity, or when we will get it. But that'll do me.
The council has a very good Arborist or whatever the profession is called, who has just helped us save some trees from being way over pruned by the scissor happy tree surgeons. His surname is Gonzales and I would recommend you seek him out via the council website if you can, or just phone the council to ask to be put through to his line.
Thanks for this cs. My Dad served in Korea. He was part of REME (Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers). He has never talked about it and now his memories are going. I have gently tried to encourage him to talk, but he won't. His older sister reported she knew he had been injured, and recovered in a Singapore Hospital, but he won't deny or accept that. Mum has dementia so anything he told her (they married 1955) has long since gone.
I read the Huffington Post. Happy to be defined by that. Mainly because I don't give a damn how people want to judge or define me. It's how they treat me that counts.
Just saw War Horse. Overhyped? Nope, it was all true. Theatre, acting, design, as usual, added to by great puppetry, music, artwork, and animation! Bring tissues. Thanks Ladygooner for above recommendation, will try and catch that!
So I'll dig a little hole and plant all my cherry stones in it. One of them might survive to replace it. Just kidding. Interesting thread and well done Renata and thanks for posting the replies so we know and understand why my favourite tree in the park is being demolished.
Well there's crime everywhere. It's everywhere. Everyone says there's crime everywhere. It's awful. Everyone says so. Everywhere it is. Look, there's some over there. I hate it here. Crime everywhere. Been here years. There was crime then but it was alright. But now there's crime everywhere. Everywhere there's crime. Everyone'll tell ya. And the police don't care. Scared they are. Never see 'em. Well, except when crime happens. Which is all the time. It's everywhere. Police don't care. Crime's everywhere. I never go out me 'ouse. There's crime everywhere. You see it in every street. Never go out. Too scared. Her next door, dropped her purse. Never saw it no more. Crime everywhere. I don't go out, haven't been out me house since 1985. Coz of all this crime. etc etc etc
I walked across the park this morning and saw the Community Warden - he had seen a dog attack the already damaged and sick fox in the Sexby Garden. He was waiting for the RSPCA to come collect. I doubt said fox is alive now. The RSPCA tend to put them down. It was pretty sick, said the CW (you often see this CW in the park on his bike. Nice guy, approachable, intelligent). The fox had only one eye and was in pretty bad shape. (There is no sign anymore on the gates of the Sexby garden anymore requesting folk to put their dogs on leads.)
I think Fabricio pretty much nailed it. Well done. I'd also suggest reading some basic and not so basic feminist works including those specialising in psychology generally, to explain in more detail the wiring.
Good Will Hunting Terms of Endearment/Postcards from the Edge - Shirley Maclaine, same fabulous character different circumstances. Internal Affairs (Laurie Metcalfe Andy Garcia and Richard Gere)
NINA CONTI - tonight (6th April 2013) saw the first preview of her new show at Soho Theatre in Dean Street. It was magnificant. New puppets include a very posh and nicely dressed pitbull, and her eight year old self. Show is on for a month. http://www.sohotheatre.com/whats-on/nina-conti-dolly-mixtures
BrocolliJack (Fab nickname), Exhibition Road and the bit outside Sloane Square tube is shared space. I use both a lot as a road user and no problems and all cool.
I had to take medication which I was told would absorb into the body best in an acidic environment, so I had to take it with cola which is the most acidic thing one can drink. Dentist told me that cola unsettles the coating of the teeth so leave it an hour till brushing the teeth after drinking cola. Just thought I'd share....
