Slightly off topic but have any of the patients of DMC checked the the soon-to-be-replaced PCT about the practices at DMC? Do they have a patients forum? They should do but I bet they are not at all representative. On topic - have also heard good things about Lister Walk In in peckham despite waiting times.

There's a pub on Coleman Road in Peckham that is pretty scary. Was visiting a mate nearby and they made it very clear we were not welcome. Two nice females that we were, too! I've also felt decidedly unwelcome in Man of Kent. Went to a few pubs in East End with mates - around the Bow flyover where the nature reserve is, and smoking was still going on, and being outsiders we were treated with great suspicion!

We're baaaaaaaack! We did much of the above, including the Antonium today in miserable rain. Had a great time, yes we had "visit Brussels" to hand but it's always great to get personal recommendations. It was an enjoyable weekend away though we woke to heavy snow yesterday! Thanks everyone who contributed ideas!

As someone who rides around a lot of London, I can tell you there are quite a few branches of Julia Know's Beauty if not her punctuation. One is in Fulham. R Soles in the Kings Road still brings a childlike grin.

It seems clear from posts in here that a lot of bikes and scooters are being stolen recently. I shall raise it at the next Police Ward Panel which you are all welcome to come to on a regular (once every 2 months) basis should you wish to come. I post it in the What's On section. The next one is 13 Dec 7pm venue to be confirmed but I think it will be the Rye Hill Tenants and Residents Hall, Peckham Rye SE15, on the main Peckham Rye road by the tower blocks.

The lights are already installed and ready at Oxford Street. I think they look the same as last year's. Indeed come to think of it I am not 100 % sure they were actually taken down...

I also hate the label thing. And when being asked if you are Mrs or Miss, but men don't have to state whether they're married because their label doesn't change. I dislike the connotation thing. Ladies and Gentlemen is fine, men and women is fine, husband and wife is fine. Man and wife? Grrrr. You never hear Woman and Husband! I think they should be abolished; it's class and gender nonsense.
