  1. Contant the two hairdressers and tell them, and then contact the environment department of the Council 020 7525 2000 and tell them of your concerns.
  2. What an absolutely brilliant idea. You could cover loads of subjects and have a sort of timetable you could publish here in the What's On Section. You might care to link up with the people who organise the Members' Events; being the Members of the Foundation Trust of Kings College Hospital. They do lunchtime seminars on all sorts of subjects. I would love to hear about are geriatric depression (My elderly Mum suffers this), about NLP(!), and generally would like to come along to such meetings.
  3. And during Funerals when I always have a minute's silence so those with faith can say a silent prayer in their own time, I am often completely overwhelemed when - at the end - there is sometimes and completely unpredictably an applause for the joy given by the life of the person who has died. The length of applause usually relates to how many people are there and the age of the deceased.
  4. Oh that is brilliant! Not for the kid, obviously.
  5. Look up British Journal of Photography website. MrPR has been keeping up to date on this and got himself on the front page of the Telegraph a year ago when there was a flash mob (yes, see what I did?!) in Trafalgar Square with everyone wearing badges saying "Photographer Not Terrorist". There is a lot of publicity about the laws so don't panic!
  6. WTF? Anyway, MrPR had his new biked nicked - though they left front wheel - from his work in Bermondsye last Friday. KONA grey and red Dr Good model. Police report made on line and looks like it's covered on our contents insurance. He's gutted.
  7. I saw it and felt so sorry for the suckers who went along. There's something immoral about it but then we're all free to make the choices! The Nursery Nurse was the saddest case, she was going through all these - well, mantras I suppose - and dances and I wonder how she thought becoming a millionaire would happen. And yet, there is something in the positivity programming as Derren Brown et al shows in his programmes. You are subliminally programmed to be open to possibilities if you train yourself to be so. A friend of my aunt's in Los Angeles spends thousands of dollars every year going to big seminars every year which talk of how taxation is supposedly illegal and is nothing more than government theft, and teaches how to get out of paying it.
  8. Depends what they advertise. Personally I don't think you can have enough advertising for Kindles or BT Infinity which no-one round here can get even if they wanted it.
  9. No no no no NO! Sean Connery was Bond when I was a kid and I STILL say Daniel Craig is the best ever Bond!
  10. It was on the telly. She's been arrested. So that's her dealt with. Now the the thousands of others! In a way it is a good thing the story happened because the fact we all saw it meant she could be identified. Many is the time I have to go work in areas like Thamesmead or Bow or Kennington or Staines or somewhere and the racism is blatant and unapologetic.
  11. Do they not have a Patient Forum you could all join to try and change things? I highly recommend Nunhead Surgery Nunhead Grove for those of you in East Dulwich who ARE in theit catchment area. The patient forums meet at different times so as many folk can come as possible. The Doctors there are really clued up though and for example refuse to entertain the idea of 0870 numbers, and you can see a doctor the same day as well as up to a week or two ahead. The receptionists are nice, too!!
  12. !!! Were they hot tin bricks?
  13. It's alright, we got a taxi.
  14. Me and SpaceyCat need a lift home from the Lorship Lane vets to PeckhamRye east side at 5.00 ish today. Motorbike brerk.
  15. Lots of little flowers been planted to make it look like Spring!
  16. I would like to add that I have nothing to do with EastDulwichRose. Nice name, though!
  17. Hi Consequential. Are you "in"?* * Apologies but it's 11.48 Sunday morning and I'm still vegging in bed.
  18. Hi all Just to say there is a Police Ward Panel at Harris Girls Academy Thursday 24th November at 7pm.
  19. Hi folks, I hope you do not mind me posting this but next Thursday is the Police Ward Panel at Harris Girls Academy and I hope any of you who feel you want to be involved and ask the police questions, can come along. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?6,787109
  20. I am a cat not a dog owner - but anyway would like to point out that it may be the case that - like human flu vaccines - the vaccines for dogs and cats are probably also NOT 'live' so in that context they don't have the same after effects and may not have the same other effects when mixed with other stuff. This is just for info. I am really pleased you posted this as I am now reading and learning a lot! I agree about getting professional advice on this but the irony is as vets are in business they have a vested interest in keeping you coming back. Tough one.
  21. Maybe Edgar Kail Way will have to be renamed! How fabulous.
  22. Yeah! Does any of his man junk look like a suspicious article? That - or superglue the lock. Daft of course because it will mean it's there for even longer.
  23. There are also a good few fabric shops in Lewisham that may sell it. One is on the corner of Rennell Street and the High Street (the end nearest the roundabout junction with A20) and the other is near opposite that.
  24. Jonny thanks so much. I looked on TAdviser and indeed that 19 one and Madeira were completely trashed by people. That many reviewers can't be wrong! BlanchHouse looks fab. Thanks! Anyone else welcome to contribute ideas though, I will book it next week.
