Definitely it means what it says. Buy one and get two EXTRA free. Definitely tell Trading Standards with a copy of the receipt and this photo. The major supermarkets do sometimes do these sorts of sales, on the likes of cereals.
  2. Your posting is well placed and timed, LordshipLane Vets. I hope people will think kindly on it. I feel wracked with guilt!
  3. Undisputed truth, yeah. I think that was our Louisa on the top, whinging about how dirty Peckham is!
  4. Agree with jimmah. And thanks for this. We now get upset if someone doesn't pick up the dogshit (quite rightly) but there was loads of horseshit in the middle of Rye Lane! Was the opening section of them coming out of what is now the SortingOffice off Rye Lane? Not sure!
  5. I'm feeling guilty, charliecharlie! I may go back next year!
  6. Well, instead of Spacey's usual motorcycle ride to Lordship Lane vets (she hates being in a taxi just as much so being in her box on the back of the bike was just as safe but took half the time!), I carried her across the park to see Amber today. Amber was absolutely brilliant (as is Julia Harper at LL Vets) and slightly more expensive but it took less time to get there and I shall have to switch my allegience. Have been going to LordshipLane ex Lomax vets for 28 years. I am such a loyal soul! Really impressed with the space and layout there though. Spacey won't speak to me for the rest of the day though.
  7. Spacey is being carried in my arms across the park to go there tomorrow. Thanks for all the recommendations. The vets told me they were really anxious because they knew the power of EDF!
  8. I still can't spell vodaffffff -- ffffffffffff... Nope. Can't do it, it's wrong!
  9. Hey, it's a sunny day today. Be happy and cheerful, I dare you.
  10. Well he can only reply if you ask him direct. He may not see this post and he may not cross the park every day.
  11. *looks up 'divetted'* Does it have anything to do with horses digging holes in with their shoes?
  12. MarmoraMan, apart from never being able to get up early enough on a Sunday to do that sort of stuff, may I ask where you park the car? I find it hard enough to park a bike in that area!
  13. Yeah bonniebird, know what you mean, I'm forgetful after a heavy Saturday night!
  14. Mine hasn't been boring, but I've already written about it in 42 diaries....
  15. A three year thread revival. Is this a record? And if so was that the video?
  16. nunhead_man it is dangerous to wait sometimes because i have seen where a car correctly waited when the light turned red and got bumped by the impatient driver of the car behind. There is so much traffic coming from the Nunhead side specially since the roads got closed off at Waveney Road and Forresters Road (so-called rat runs) they are all forced to stay on that main road to turn left up Peckham Rye SE15 side.
  17. I reckon - those MrPR would be more scientifically and meterologically correct about it - that it's a result of the sun so low in the sky it lights the 'lid' of clouds above us from below, but at such an angle that the light passes through all the muck in the air but coming out with the beautiful result. I may be wrong. Great pics steveo! Looking out from my flat on the hill, I love seeing the cloud above the lights of the city - Broadgate building, Shard, Gherkin and soon to be coming the Building With More On Top, and they light the cloud above them whilst all else is dark.
  18. Great idea. We have one. Might be best to walk telescope to centre of the park though!
  19. Nothing stopping any of you buying some seeds of bee friendly flowers and so and putting them on there one evening. Hell, I've got some, maybe I'll do it!
  20. This has been a problem since the lights were put in years ago. We begged for filter lights at least or small roundabout. I organised a big presentation with signatures years ago and was ignored.
  21. I've got a short play on in April but it is in Surrey. One agent I know of received twelve hundred scripts a year. Theatres funded by the state like the Royal Court have to accept scripts so send their scripts to readers or such volunteers out of Uni to judge their scripts they receive. Most Are Shite. It's a tough life. Personally, I think such things are best left for the family to keep and read for ever. Probably including mine!
  22. I get mildly and pointlessly irritated when - doing the customs forms on the way into USA - you have to state that your country is UK. They don't understand their mistake and if you try and write England they'll send you to the back of the queue and do it again. Seen that done!
  23. MrPR Cyclist disagrees with this being safer for cyclists and so would I. Now everyone has just one lane. Putting a painted picture of a bicycle on tarmac does not make it safer for cyclists. Renata Hamvas Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > These measure were implemented in order to make > safer for cyclists. The current thinking is that > informal crossing points are safer than zebras > (I'm not expert on this!). > Renata
  24. Any of the GPs at Nunhead Surgery. They can't all know everything, that's why there's specialists!
