  1. Thanks for your help folks. I use Trellix to make my website. It is an ancient thing, although we still use it to update our websites, we need to find a new host. I am not at all technically able to use codes; Trellix did it all for us. It is a bit like Word in that way, just plopping facts and figures and photos around. So I want still to be able to use Trellix, just find a new host to place the website in. I shall check out your suggestions, and thank you so much for them!
  2. It's been thrilling hasn't it MM. And watching 20 fenchurch Street going up is interesting too. But nothing beats the Shard. Well, 'cept the one in Moscow that's just inched/centimeter'd itself slightly higher!
  3. It's not much different to "Were you born in a barn?"
  4. No they haven't - I saw it and the one at Beulah Hill right next to it, and my flat! Thanks for sharing this. I can't WAIT to get up there!
  5. I agree fazer, and if the female of the partnership is assertive strong and knows what she wants, he makes snide comments to male partner and often to camera about how this could be a problem, yet the last shot is of the house done and beautiful and seemingly so 'despite' her. At a Grand Designs show at Excel last year there was a discussion about modern kitchens with the guys from Poggenpohl and other companies and him on the panel. Now who spends most time in the kitchens? Mostly women. Not one woman on that panel. Hurts me to think he's sexist but I fear it is so. Yet I love the programme because I love watching imagination and passion and architecture at work.
  6. Yeah I'm getting an extension and a garage installed. I'm in a third floor flat so they're wondering how the hell I'm going to do it. So am I.
  7. Seriously gutted for you, mate!
  8. 484 turns right / south at the east side. Both junctions need reviewing.
  9. 123-reg are truly peeing me off. Every year a new problem and this year their instructions do not marry with what I see before me. Any advice welcome. Mine is a small webpage and I only update it a few times a year depending on jobs! About ten photos and a link to YouTube videos. Thanks for your advice.
  10. pedestrians 1st who are on mobiles then as for drivers: SOME cyclists Some bus drivers some bikers some car drivers of which most young women and all on those on mobiles Hardly any taxi drivers. As a biker I find them the best!
  11. Thanks. will try one then the other! Never occurred to me that Tablets don't come with USB ports!
  12. Thanks El Pibe!!
  13. Can it be done? Doesn't look like it. Can't see a USB port. Anyone know of any other way? And - bug ger!
  14. My darling cat has just died and I have a CATMATE available you can have in exchange for nice bottle of red. If you are away all day or overnight (probably later when she's grown up!) then you can set the feeder to open at say 4 and 8 hours for example. It goes to 48 hours and there are two compartments. I also have a freezer section that goes in the base to keep said food cold, and if you come TODAY I'll give you a ball of wool. Hours of fun... We're on east Se15 side of Peckham Rye Park.
  15. ddunwoody MrPRs bike was insured with Carole Nash. It was nicked. She paid back about two and a half pence. Never again are we insuring with her.
  16. Coffee. Worked in the adverts. But before you approach him or her - think yourself in to the situation where this has happened and you really don't like him/her or she/he doesn't like you after all, and the embarrassment that may cause.
  17. Adorable, c shorty. Adorable!
  18. Just got tx for Democracy at Old Vic opens 15 June or thereabouts. David Cann is in it. Yknow, the one who was in Chris Morris' Brass Eye and Jammmmmm.
  19. Maybe they are at the mercy of their satnavs and know no better. But I agree with the above, tell councillors.
  20. Try JFK snooker club near - just past the Co-op funeral place on Rye Lane.
  21. "It was better when I was alive..."
  22. Excellent - thanks! If you change the title of this thread to "Useful cooking tips" it could be good. Whether you do or don't here's another one I learned: For cheese sauce, cover grated cheese in a heaped tablespoon of cornflour and mix it up so the cheese is well covered. Then put the lot into the warm water or milk, and stir till it thickens. It tastes better and won't go lumpy. Now you can do the cauliflour cheese!
  23. That's my late breakfast all over the floor.
  24. I wrote to the practice manager of my surgery about this and here are edited parts of her reply. " ... it is a national directive. Perhaps patients can raise their concerns through their MP or local PALS team. The data the Health Authority pulls will not be clinical, just statistical. The aim is to make sure GP practices only get paid for real patients."
  25. Seek the Ladies kickabout section in the What's On section, they play every Sunday at 12 till 2 on Peckham Rye Park. It's been going well over a year now!
