  1. Try looking in the residential property section of the forum.
  2. And the tory arsewipe you referred to was Kim Humphreys. He was responsible for the utterly useless and very experience Southwark Council CallCentre, amongst other things.
  3. Pat Condell used to be a stand up in the 1980s and now does sit down video comedy. I adore him. I absolutely love listening to his words. He speaketh sense to me! Religion is ignorant and a mind virus, and divisive, and holding civilisation back. There, I've said it. He says it with reasoning and examples.
  4. For me the end was less subtle. I realised I hated him.
  5. And garages are going up by 50% to around ?18 a week.
  6. I have only ever used 123.reg mentioned above. A few problems in the early days through my ignorance but they did try and help. Not had a problem, but have no experience to compare!
  7. People who put junk mail in your door do not read or can not read signs saying no junk mail. Collect it up then send it to the NF courtesy of their freepost address which is British Heritage FREEPOST That's all you need to write.
  8. This was last night. What's occurrin'!
  9. For those of you within the Nunhead and Peckham Rye Ward which DOES include quite a bit of East Dulwich around Forest Hill Road, a way up Barry Road, The Gardens and so on, do come tonight to the Police Ward Panel so you can discuss this subject with the police. On the What's On Section there are all the details, but basically it is at 7pm tonight Thurs 17th Feb 2011 at the Rye Hill Tenants and Residents Association Hall. This is on the Peckham Rye SE15 side of the park in front of the three Rye Hill Park Tower Blocks, and around the corner from the Harris Girls Sports Academy.
  10. Why has this been posted twice?
  11. We're happy with BT Vision to be honest. There's loads of programmes and films you can see in their on-line back catalogue. They also have films you can watch too, for about ?3 or ?4. If I could afford to I would get Sky just for Sky Arts, but BT Vision is a very good reliable alternative and does all the tricks Sky does too. And cheaper! I pay for it in one quarterly bundle with the BT phone bill. They are not paying me to recommend them, dammit.
  12. I am and I love it. It's intelligent, and funny, and a bit too many in-jokes (industry), but still works. Ironically I can't see it has a long life, a point MlBlanc's character himself makes within the show within the show!
  13. The trial of Ralph McTell, on French and Saiunders years ago. Brilliant.
  14. Christopher Walken reading The Three Pigs on Jonathan Ross. In a fluffy sweater. Hysterical. Terrifying!
  15. I saw the other day how Dubai's tall buildings were built by Indian slave labour who had been tricked in to coming on the promise of something more. Remind me if I get rich not to be tempted by Dubai's sort of luxury!
  16. It truly is amazing. The bar is on 42nd floor and you have to book in advance and each of you to spend ?10 at the bar. However, that floor only has about 150 degrees of view. The restaurant a floor below has 180 degrees of view, but I am not that rich! MrPR took the above photo - my camera is full of that film stuff so they won't be ready for a while! On a clear day we could have made out our flat and also in the north the Alexandra Palace. But hell, this ain't bad.
  17. Well, here's what we did yesterday, but feel free to add your own ideas. We spent the afternoon walking through central London to include Museum of London, a walk through the above-ground walkways through the Barbican, then up the Champagne Bar at Tower 42 (which we had to book in advance and spend ?10 at the bar, so naturally we drank champagne). Here's a view!
  18. It is such a shame Radio 4 is being expected to change to try and appeal to different types of people. They have plays about different cultures; are those plays to attract different cultures to Radio 4 or to teach those of who Radio 4 may assume is their core audience about those cultures? Or both, or just because they are good plays!? Oh - from about 1.30 I listen to Planet Rock (unless the after-Archers play sounds like it may be interesting and not some boring play about rich white folk in Indiahhhh)! But (and this reads like a Radio Times letter - and I subscribe to the Radio Times) Ed Reardon is worth the price of the telly licence all on his own.
  19. 3. carpets. 4. CDs If you want fresh fish go to Sopers in Nunhead. I do not benefit from mentioning them.
  20. Deleted because of yet another PM
  21. And if we were all not so **** self righteous and **** cynical when we post in answer to another's opening post, that would affect how we see and treat everyone else, maybe. I don't care if the poster is someone half of you know, and whether you love or hate him (very community minded), the question was a reasonable one.
  22. Well to start with we can hold our councillors and council officials and police officials to account. And there is opportunity to do that already with community councils not many people attend, police ward panels hardly anyone attends (I usually post dates and venues of these in the What's On section), and make our demands heard. We can also stop whinging about others' lack of action and start acting for ourselves. And we also need to define community and whether that means a geographic boundary and so on. For starters. Or we could all go out into the streets and take part in the Big Society debate like Egypt is doing which is exactly what Cameron suggested. I like that idea!
  23. ..... Tonight, I'm in a two hander. Thankfully it's a rehearsed reading; I've not had to learn anything! But yes, Queenslanders, too!
  24. And The Persuaders!
