  1. Can also HUGELY recommend this restaurant. The area is great but probably not the greatest in France but that restaurant and Montreuil for the weekend? Definitely! 2. Am sensing severe anger issues from the OP.

Which is precisely why we shouldn?t have had a referendum in the first place. If we had referenda on everything we would have capital punishment and many other ills. would have JoeLeg Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Look, people can march as much as they like, but > realistically we all know it?s not going to be put > to a public vote again. > > I think marches etc are fine for purposes of > keeping public pressure on government, but I hope > no one is kidding themselves that it will actually > to any kind of referendum, plebiscite or vote. Spectacular lack of self-awareness there, Loz. Well done. This hideous carnival gets no better, does it? Oh please let Labour replace Corbyn with someone with some balls. This nightmare could be over pretty quickly with the right leader who can read the country.

You really need to check your white privilege if you think "gammon" is a racist insult.
  7. Do we really need another thread about this? Hope admin merges them.
  8. Silly post.
  9. All I know is that I?ve spoken to many who use them all the time but the 3 or 4 times we?ve tried to book with them we?ve been letdown at the last minute. Friends with a baby were late down with 36 hours? notice last weekend. I have no idea what they?re like as a ?landlord? but they seem to be pretty flaky if you?re a ?tenant?.
  10. Thanks Admin. He was like some awful thing from the Daily Mail forum. Creepy AF. Nothing wrong with some healthy debate and differences of opinion but definitely something off about him.
  11. The same as I said before since you ask. Quia Differt Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > What say you now ?
  12. Quite happy not to have seen that one!
  13. Yep. Definitely creepy. I see what Admin meant in the Louisa thread.
  14. These things are part and parcel of living in London, particularly next to public parks. They have been for many years. There are people living in Park Lane who have loud rock concerts in the park next door. You're probably living in the wrong place if you let this sort of thing bother you. 15. This would be an almost impossible category to judge, probably more so than restaurants. Pubs mean different things to different people. Atmosphere/clientele/garden/children/no children/food/good food/pub food/craft ale/wine selection/tv screens/no tv screens, then list goes on. Horse for courses etc.
  16. Louisa would quite enjoy the heat being off her for once. Anyroad, has she gone? I often find her amusing and have frequently agreed with her but sometimes her style doesn't help her cause.
  17. LOL at Tony LS being caught out!
  18. This sort of event isn't my cup of tea, I hate crowds, overpriced drinks & rancid portaloos but I fully support it. If the acts are your cup of tea then it's pretty good value. If they were using the parks for festivals too often then this could be a problem but that doesn't appear to be the case. Using parks for festivals is hardly a new thing and it's something that's been happening in London for as long as I can remember.
  19. Yep, nightmare for me, travelling Denmark Hill to Farringdon every day. Half the direct trains are cut and there weren't enough as it is. I predict that Blackfriars will be a bunfight. As if travelling on these trains wasn't depressing enough. This is by no means an "achievement" unless you like horrible journeys.
  20. Thanks folks. How disappointing. They almost certainly won't do anything until something awful happens.
  21. Has anyone seen that there is work going on at the station? They've knocked a hole in the wall in Windsor Walk and are working on flattening the area behind the wall. Could this mean they are finally doing something sensible and putting an exit in on that side?
  22. Agree Springtime madness to do this while CG still closed.
  23. I've had it since I was a kid and it's usually trees for me. I once read that London is one of the worst places for it because if the plane trees but I've had it in random places in this country and in others. Around now is a pretty normal time for it to kick in. I find Beconase helps a lot. I've tried most things at some stage...
