  1. I love Le Chardon as it is/was.
  2. It's an art installation by theatre designer Es Devlin. Supposed to be very good.
  3. Police helicopters. They've been doing this on the odd night for years. People's "sensitivity" is clearly increasing.
  4. Outraged at not being allowed to park in private spaces outside a vet when you're not going to the vet? Get over your ridiculous entitled self.
  5. Poor Monica.....
  6. So sorry for this news. What a handsome fella, who was clearly well loved.
  7. Years ago it was fun but even then very crowded. Now it's horrendous. Can't think of anything worse.
  8. However, the Camberwell Grove event improved the situation by preventing lorries from using it as a shortcut and having to stick to the main roads.
  9. The closure of Windsor Walk is a pain but the restriction on Camberwell Grove is great. We used to live in a flat near the top and experienced it before and after the restriction. The fact that lorries and large vehicles can't use it is great and it's much less of a rat run than it used to be. You can still use it in a car without any problems.
  10. The references to smoking that pop up in these "bin rummager" threads are hilarious. What does it have to do with anything?
  11. Quite. I'm sure she does feel bad but it puts me off using a service like this.
  12. I find that Co-Op deeply depressing for some reason.
  13. I hate to be harsh because this is awful but what are these companies doing leaving dogs in an unlocked van unattended? Surely that is rule number one?
  14. How dare she wear a bright green top. Cow.
  15. You seem like a terrible worrier sela.
  16. Silk Road is amazing. I haven't eaten bog standard "British Chinese" food since finding it.
  17. Happens all the time, everywhere. Very important to shred anything with any personal info. We also keep a big black marker pen to obscure our names on anything we chuck in the bin. Anything else we've thrown away - well good luck with finding a use for it!
  18. You are right on this but believe me, compared to Denmark Hill, PR Station is state of the art and a design dream. craigyboy71 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I just wish Peckham Rye station would get an > urgent revamp as it's terrible, especially during > busy commuting times. 19. Amen to that! The a/c is appalling, it just blasts warm air. These are the most uncomfortable buses I've ever been on. craigyboy71 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Finally!!!! Although this came too late for our > week's Summer. You have hundreds, possibly thousands of miles of cycling possibilities in London. Unless you're a kid, who needs a safe learning space, knock yourself out!
  21. Indeed. Kids aside, it would be much more pleasant actually of cycling wasn't allowed in Dulwich Park.
  22. I use this station daily. It never fails to make me angry.

Apparently in most > people's view this is an entirely unreasonable > request. But why should they? There are very few places, especially in London where people can walk freely without having to make allowances for those on wheels of any description.
  24. This has become the most fascinating thread in all of time.......
  25. Is that Neighbourhood Vets? If so, I'm thrilled, as we're getting a new pup and they get really good reviews here PLUS it's closer to home!
