The prices are ok if the food was good. It hasn't been good for a while though. Louisa, for crying out loud. Who would go all the way to Lewisham to get a take away? You'd eat any old crap if it was cheap.

The message is folks, don't put anything in your bins that could lead to identity theft. It happens and as long as you don't throw away/recycle anything with your name/bank details etc. then these people won't find anything useful. Do yourselves a favour and either shred docs or buy yourself a big black indelible marker and scribble out any personal details before you bin.
We had the same with our recent house purchase and took the risk. The valuation survey is bound to cover themselves. When we got a good damp company in, they said it needed work but not as much as the survey suggested, so for us it looks like the risk was worth it(touch wood)! We're getting the work done and what we thought might be ?5-10k is going to be ?1500.
If the parking's restricted and the signage is clear then 2 minutes is too long. Sorry but the parking for residents round there is hardly generous and they pay to park there, why should they pay for you as well?
I don't know much about the redevelopment at Peckham Rye but judging by what they've done to Denmark Hill station, which is staggeringly ugly and impractical, I doubt there will be any effort to make this development work well for anyone except those making a profit from it.

He was charlatan and therefore has taken advantage of people's goodwill and faith. I think that's the shitty thing really, don't you?

What's underhand about them moving your car to resurface? Inefficient and not great that they didn't put a note on your windscreen (which they did to us the night before resurfacing last week) but "underhand"? Just be glad that the work is being done!
In my experience, Uber can be 1.5x or even 2x normal fare on a Thursday evening, which makes them not worth the money. They're great at off peak times but I'd rather get a black cab or a minicab the rest of the time.
What Jeremy said. Plus The Crooked Well. Amazing food and the best roast nearby. Also, Wuli Wuli is (apart from Silk Road) the best Chinese restaurant for miles. Caravaggio for simple Italian and great atmosphere/service.
