  1. Before we know it, this will morph into another thread about the dos and donts of women applying make up on public transport. We know where that ended up....
  2. Gutted if they can't stay there. Great at what they do, pleasant and reasonable. Greedy bastard buys football club shocker?
  3. Use of Dairylea avoids embarrassing situations like this.

But everyone knows what's going on. Planes fly overhead to land at London airports. I don't see much about that changing. If there is something new to post regarding protests, press articles then great, post it but do we really need to know every time the wind changes or you wake up early.
  5. Poor musicians/composers.
  6. Unlurked is the least entertaining thing I've seen in a while.
  7. The pilot was utter bilge. They'd have to go some with a series to redeem it.
  8. Yes, I moved to ED in 1995 and apart from Blue Mountain and Le Chardon there was nothing of any note.
  9. Sorry but Spotify isn't good for music and musicians.
  10. Fake sugar (for example aspartame) not only tastes awful, it's incredibly bad for you.
  11. That's interesting stuff there - thanks Foxy
  12. I don't think suggesting avoiding fads is unconstructive.
  13. It's another fad. Of course processed sugar is bad for you (as is too much fruit juice/smoothies etc.) but other than that it's daft to try avoid an entire food group that occurs naturally in many foods.

Whatever next?
  15. Unwanted flyers and leafleting won't help the situation.
  16. We definitely need at least 2 threads about this.
  17. I don't think anyone is saying "hip hip hooray" are they? That's rather unfair and completely inaccurate. You also say it's subjective and then say "take it from me, the noise has definitely got worse", so which is it? In the opinion of most people on this thread it just hasn't got worse, that's all.
  18. Buddug may have been a bit of a dick but Canary's threshold for "disgusting human being" is rather low IMO.

I think that has something to with wind direction combined with having nothing that's actually important to worry about...
  20. Sounds like the conclusion of that meeting is that nothing has changed but there are more moaners, some of whom are unhealthily obsessed with the subject.
  21. Airbnb is a brilliant idea but we've given up on at as every time we've tried to book something that the site says is available, we've had an email a day or two later saying it's bit available. Great idea but badly run website.

  24. No, we don't all suffer. If you were already awake before the "plane noise" started then the problem isn't the "plane noise".

You know > 100% it's not fvckin 'plane-aware' !! > > > Utter bollocks., .... This post does say everything really. This has never happened to me, not once. Never have I had to shout to be heard above aircraft noise. That's just silly.
