  1. Silly and a tad unhinged. This explains the oversensitivity to noise.
  2. Looks like someone woke up with headache.
  3. I don't like coriander, so am happy to support that bit.
  4. fazer - your response to my post above and similar insults directed at others do suggest a degree of irrationality.
  5. The problem here is definitely perception. Odd that many have lived here for many years and aren't noticing any difference and some have. It's clear that this is a real problem for some posters but also clear that many genuinely don't think anything has changed and don't see that there is a problem.
  6. Those that overreact to plane noise also overreact to those who don't think it's a problem. I detect a correlation.

    Homewrecker

Yup, all the fault of the "homewrecker". That poor vulnerable married man, how awful for him.

    BBC3 Axed

I'm with the OP. Losing BBC4 would be awful - it's precisely what a public service channel should be and doesn't chase big audiences or the next trend. The idea of BBC3 was ok but the reality most of the time was rubbish. Trying out some of this stuff online is fine, it's where we'll watch everything in the not too distant future.
  9. Ok - sorry if that displeases you. How about "mainstream white America" getting it not grabbing me. Is that allowed?
  10. Also, red onions in everything(one of the devil's foods, along with rocket.) And twerking.
  11. Rocket in every bloody sandwich for sale.
  12. Yes - do you know they haven't started work? Do you think this is likely to happen overnight?
  13. Let's hope it's an improvement on season 2.
  14. Ah - name calling. Classy.
  15. I use buses quite a lot and I'm well posh.

You wouldnt go > underground if camberwell was on the tube. Eh? Trains are generally much more comfortable and less claustrophobic than the tube.
  17. Is this a private thread where only one opinion is valid? Have you read the thread title?
  18. Yes, I'm puzzled at the "arrogant" comment. Some of us are genuinely baffled as to why this is such a problem for some. I've lived here since the mid 90s and it's no better or worse now than it was then.
  19. I'm happy with things as they are (assuming services work properly!) Loads of buses, great rail connections, overground at DH and PR. I hate the tube, so I'm quite happy to use it as little as possible.
  20. I don't know why this thread has become bogged down in interpretation of statistics. Some cyclists just need to stop being dicks - that's all.

LD's descent into such juvenile nonsense doesn't do her any favours (along with her inability to display any sense of reason.)
  22. Foie gras anyone?

I'm a motorist and this doesn't piss me off. I'm sure it does some but here you are generalising about people. Somewhat hypocritically really, in light of your posts on this subject.

And don't forget that doubt must be cast on monkeylite's post as it may be untrue, like the OP's according to some, so it may all be moot *raises eyes*
