Chances are you won't get on with them quite so well after you start parking a caravan on the road.

It seems there are some plans you might be interested in at the London Metropolitan Archives http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/rd/a4d55444-8382-41a4-b671-ea80b138ed8e. (ETA looking again, I see these are plans for land drainage so maybe not quite so relevant) A search on Collage https://collage.cityoflondon.gov.uk using the search term Snowsfields returned some super images but as far as I can see nothing that features The Drum. Perhaps your best bet is a visit to the Southwark Local Studies Library in Borough High Street where there are drawers of photographs and the staff will be able to advise you regarding plans etc.

Southwark Plans for Camberwell Old & New Cemeteries.

You have to hand it to SSW for being trailblazers for the "post truth world" and for presenting "alternative facts". -
I wonder if you've seen this thread from 2015 http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,1555979,page=1

The Cookshop on Lordship Lane is closing down
nxjen replied to beesiler's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
The East Dulwich of today has little bearing on whether the area was considered poor, or quite poor, 25 years ago relative to the standards of the time. There was a fair proportion of owner occupiers. Inexpensive perhaps. -

Threshers has remained empty for a long time because the owner only wants to lease it to an off license - there is a thread somewhere on EDF. Saying East Dulwich was a poor part of London is misleading: certainly it was primarily working / lower middle class, developed with office clerks working in the centre of London in mind. While mainly residents may not have had a lot of money, the area was not "poor" in the sense of "deprived". ETA I read a couple of days ago that one of the reasons Dulwich Estate gave over land to form Dulwich Park was to form a barrier against the newly emerging East Dulwich and keep the hoi polloi out of Dulwich Village. -

Or, if possible, would suggest you buy one, they're not that expensive (relatively), lots less hassle than arranging to hire one, and as it's so much more convenient, you'll find you'll use it more often and your carpets will be much cleaner.

This has been happening since the large brown bins were introduced but I think it's unreasonable to expect them to be loaded onto the tipper when there are just one or two small food bags inside. I got rid of the large bin and replaced it with a small external bin and use the brown paper bags for garden waste. This solved the problem, means there's fewer wheelie bins out front and last but not least is more pleasant for the operatives as they don't have to dive to the bottom of a large bin to grab the small green bags.

This is a public community forum and as such reflects the concerns of the community. I have little interest in many of the subjects discussed (dog poo, what is such and such shop going to be, bad service received in shop, football to name but a few) but they are clearly of interest to many of those who live in East Dulwich and beyond and have every right to be discussed on the Forum, indeed it is what makes the Forum vibrant. Or is this desire to close threads down a reflection of the current zeitgeist which appears to be limiting free speech or a desire to live in a comfortable bubble of complacency? (FWIW, and I see little reason why I should defend myself, you will see that my post regarding the petition precedes the other one)

Please don't ask a chimney sweep to uninstall it! As other posters have said, you need to have a registered Gas Safe engineer to look at it.

The EDF is independent of the council so I don't understand why you think the council should take notice of what is posted on the forum. However our councillors do look at it and post on it and have been instrumental in resolving many, many problems that residents have posted about here so yes it does make a difference. On a community level, the forum acts as an information exchange - posters advise about planning applications, crime issues, travel issues, bad service etc etc etc which others may not be aware of. It is also a way of finding recommended tradesmen (I don't know how I managed in that regard before the EDF) and a way of finding answers to all kinds of problems. The forum has been set up for the East Dulwich area but as a measure of its success residents from outside the area post about issues within their communities. So that briefly, in answer to your question, is what the forum does. You are not under any obligation to visit it or participate.

What is happening at St Peter''s Church Dulwich Common
nxjen replied to hertburs's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
There would be a pastor attached to the Deeper life Bible Church - why not ask him? -
Lovely clip! Alexandra Rose Day was / is always held in June. Camberwell Town Hall was extended in the 1930s, recently refurbished and now a part of UAL Camberwell Halls of Residence. UAL have taken over many historic buildings in that area, maybe saving them from demolition.
