  3. If this piece of land is part of The Common then I cannot see any Commercial Enterprise gaining permission to develop the site. Could Southwark Council afford to Develop.. Build ... Maintain ... Run such a project. I doubt it. Took them 9 months to repair 50 yards of Pavement/Kerbstone adjacent to North Cross rd. DulwichFox
  4. When it comes to The 'Millennium Wheel' although it does make money.. the Government did miss out. It they had legalised Cannabis the 32 pods would of made excellent greenhouses rotating like a giant rotisserie in the summer sun.. :) Foxy
  5. The original Lido was built in 1923.. Petitioners pointing out that the pool was never actually destroyed but just filled in are kidding themselves if they believe all we need to do is dig it out and fill it with water. The site is reportedly unstable due to the river Peck running beneath it. I used it a few times in the 60's. It was never really busy back then. The surrounding trees meant that the pool was always full of leaves twigs and insects. With a splendid Lido 10 mins (bus) away at Brockwell Park an other Lido at the Peckham site could struggle to survive. How many of the 'I would deffo use it ' brigade currently use the pool at Brockwell Park and how often.. Let us get realistic about this project.. DulwichFox
  6. Most common names of open pubs listed on Pubs Galore Rank Pub Name Total pubs 1 Red Lion 582 2 Crown 540 3 Royal Oak 467 4 White Hart 336 Probably most of these are now closed down Who would call a newly opened pub any of the above these days... DulwichFox
  7. Not much mention of the Frexit by the French (some have considered it) and who knows what other xxexits there may be.. We may end up footing the bill if we stay in and other EU Countries bale out. Now that really would be a disaster. Foxy
  8. Haven't seen Cameron deny that ?350M goes to Brussels... Thought he might of picked up on that one.. Also ?110m a year of EU agricultural subsidies go to fund Spanish bullfighting. That's the sort of the thing we are paying for... DulwichFox
  9. I think I may of seen this guy.. Can't be many people stupid enough to Cycle with a dog on a leash.. What a complete plank.. or 1/2 a plank.. DulwichFox
  10. Cameron is getting Desperate.. Now going on about Holidays being ?240 more expensive.. Where does he pluck these figures from ... He is beginning to sound extremely foolish now.. ..Scare mongering . If we leave.. This will happen.. That will happen.. Households will be ?4,000 + worse off every year. Travel to Europe will be more difficult. Health care will not be available.. Trade with the rest of Europe will cease. It will actually be the first time in 40 years we will be able to freely trade with the rest of the world. China.. India.. and the rest of Asia.. ...and we get to save ?350M every week that we currently pay to Brussels to dictate to us what we can and cannot do. ...Boris seems to make a lot more sense.. I know where my vote is going.. DulwichFox
  11. Well if they have sold you 2 adult tickets and no child tickets that would seem strange. ? DulwichFox
  12. I'm in.. How does this one work how many weeks ? When does it start... Foxy..
  13. In the 70's Berlin had a ticket called a Vier Fahrkarten A 4 journey ticket.. Each journey would cover multiple changes for buses and U-ban (Tube) So 40 years on we are getting there.. Progress. Foxy
  14. I get Weekly bumf from Virgin.. Large A4 envelopes.. Must be costing them a fortune to try and get new customers. It's a pity they don't seem to be looking after their existing customers. DulwichFox

Perhaps indirectly... I suspect certain council employees may be handsomely rewarded for coming up with any money making 'incentive' They always have excuses.. Remove litter bins because Terrorists can plant bombs in them.. (Mainly West End) Close Public Toilets because they attract Drug users and Sex offenders.. Restrict parking because it's dangerous... Then install 'Charged Parking' in the same place. It just goes on and on.. DulwichFox
  16. It don't work like that in this country Lou.. We remove litter bins so we can fine people that drop litter.. We close Public Conveniences so we can prosecute and hand out ASBOS to those that pee in the street.. We make Parking difficult so we can hand out fines to those that stop for a couple of mins. to pop into a shop. That's how Councils make a lot of their money.. Fines and Taxes.. If you drive a car, I'll tax the street, If you try to sit, I'll tax your seat. If you get too cold I'll tax the heat, If you take a walk, I'll tax your feet. DulwichFox

Like he opens his fridge and finds half a 'frigging' goat at the back of it.. Foxy
  18. I don't know why you have or need Adobe Marketing Cloud. I think it may run in background and is likely to slow down any device. This explains what it is and I have no idea what it is all about. http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-adobe-digital-marketing/adobe-marketing-cloud-explained/ There is an opt out page:- http://www.adobe.com/privacy/opt-out.html Evidently I too am opted in on my PC which is also running very slow. I am at a loss too. Foxy P.S. If you get the page again and have a back arrow.. click and hold.. The screen should shrink with a X in to top right hand corner where you should be able to click and close.
  19. I had a stinky sink problem that nothing would solve.. ... but I then found there was a waste outlet pipe for a dish washer (That I did not ).. The U-bend(trap) had dried out and the smell was coming from the outside drain... So just topped up the U-bend with water and bleach.. Foxy.

  22. Sorry I will not be able to attend.. I'm off to the Cod Fellas for lunch and have a trip to The Den this evening. Now that the Waiting Room at East Dulwich Station is no longer there, I might have to take on 'water' in The Cherry Tree and get the Station Master to text me when my train is due. Foxy
