  1. I noticed last night that there is new vertical structures on the roof.. I could not determine what they were. They do not look very substantial. Is this a further floor. which I was expecting from the start.. It's a bit late into the project and I cannot see M&S opening soon if work is still in progress on the roof DulwichFox

  3. Hi DVMummy You do not need to join.. Just say you are coming and then Michael P. will know how many to book for. We usually meet from 7.00 onwards and eat at 8.00 ish. We are going to Jaflong so will probably meet in the EDT / Bishop (Michael P will confirm) for pre meal drinks. Jaflong no longer sells alcohol so you will need to bring some beer/ wine. They do not charge corkage. It's fine you are by yourself, many of us are. Hope you can make it.. Foxy
  4. People who criticised the likes of myself and Louisa as not tolerating change are simply getting what they wished for.. It's what one gets when one thinks they are a bit above the rest.. When the big boys move in.. the little man gets forced out... Gentrification is social cleansing.. DulwichFox

The old Lido was Local Authority run .. I would imagine Southwark are not keen on doing that.. Because it is Common Land it should NOT be offered up to private enterprise. If it were, it would set a president for the rest of the common.. So I really don't know where this will go. DulwichFox

Support for Windows Vista without any service packs ended on April 13, 2010. To continue support, make sure you've installed Windows Vista SP2. Support for Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) ended on July 12, 2011. To continue support, make sure you've installed Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2) Microsoft will end "Mainstream Support" for Windows Vista, moving into an "Extended Support" phase that lasts through April 11, 2017. Microsoft will no longer offer of no-charge incident support, warranty claims and design fixes for the 5-year-old operating system. Time to upgrade.. Foxy
  14. My version of Windows 7 was it's self an upgrade from Vista.. So that might exacerbate the problem.. Foxy
  15. Just read this.. update 7/30/2015 Important Note: You have to go through the upgrade process before doing a clean install. That makes your valid Windows 7 or 8.1 key associate with your Windows Account. If you don?t, you will need to call Microsoft, and everyone know how horrible that is! Here?s what Microsoft says: Once you?ve upgraded to Windows 10 using the free upgrade offer, you will be able to reinstall, including a clean install, on the same device. You won?t need a product key for re-activations on the same hardware. If you make a meaningful change to your hardware, you may need to contact customer support to help with activation. You?ll also be able to create your own installation media like a USB drive or DVD, and use that to upgrade your device or reinstall after you?ve upgraded. Don't think I will bother Foxy

  21. Last time I was in The Castle it still had a Pool Table... When The Foresters became The Bishop the first thing they did was to get rid of the Pool Tables making way for 30 + Seats for drinkers and diners. The Castle seems to be catering for people (many I once knew) who are no longer with us... It really is a 'Back Street' boozer which geographically competes with The Great Exhibition and The Actress. It is a truly locals pub and NOT a destination pub. No wonder sales are down.. I don't think there is much that can be done to change this. Sadly many pubs like The Castle have already closed down and have been redeveloped. Foxy.
