  1. This was discussed at length some time back.. The site is totally unsuitable being so close to dangerous road junction. 100's of people milling around would not be practical. Not financially viable. I also seem to remember there being a structual problem with the River Peck running beneath the site. Foxy

siousxiesue Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Glycaemic Load is a better way to judge than GI Yes it is but is more complex to work out.. Sticking to Low G.I food and keeping meals small is the way to go.. Generally because women have more body fat that men, women should exercise before eating and men should exercise after a meal. Foxy

    Diet

Crash dieting is not a good idea unless closly monitored.. Eating a healthy diet and exersise is a better way to go.. To exercise you need carborhydrates. but you need to eat the correct carbs.. Low Glycemic Index carbs. that do not spike your blood sugar (glucose) levels. Exercising without carbs. can lead to body fat being used as fuel. In its extreem body organs will be wasted.(anorexia) When someone burns body fat Ketones are produced which can lead to Ketoacidosis, which can lead to serious illness in a relatively short space of time This is one reason why Crash Dieting is a bad idea.. 6. This is the plastic.. Diall trap.. I dont reccomend using these.. Foxy
  7. If that were Millwall fans they would deduct 30 points and send us out of the play offs.. Foxy

I tried one of those and they are vicious.. It ripped the skin off the poor thing. Really upset me. Will not use those again.. The wooden traps are quick and clean. Foxy

  11. It is Southwark Council's policy to do the oposite.. Anywhere where there are shops, restrict parking.. Make it as difficult as possible.. I am suprised Lordship lane has not been pedestrianised. Dulwichfox.

If you have 1 mouse there is bound to be more... all taking the bait.. somes might already be dead. You will soon find out. You will smell them. Starts of as a strong 'sweet' that become stronger and more putrid. The smell can last several weeks.. and then you get the Blue Bottles.. Better to lay several traps. I have caught more that one in a single night.. Mice are incontinent and pee contiuously on your worktops.. in your cupboards.. any exposed food.. and they poo a lot too. You cannot see the pee. People and mice cannot along side each other.. Foxy Foxy
  13. I'm not trying to make a point... But you said 'Keep up with the times..' and then suggest 'Authentic Reginal' recipes.. 'Authentic Reginal' dishes are by definition old recipes going back decades.. You have lost ME. Foxy
  14. Yes.. Spiders eat pests. Spiders feed on common indoor pests, such as roaches, earwigs, mosquitoes, flies and clothes moths. If left alone, spiders will consume most of the insects in your home, providing effective home pest control.. Spiders help curtail disease spread. Spiders feast on many household pests that can transmit disease to humans ?mosquitoes, fleas, flies, cockroaches and a host of other disease-carrying critters. Spiders also eat other spiders.. So you will usually end up with a few Dominant spiders. They are good to have around.. Foxy
  15. West Ham play their last game at the Boleyn ground today.. One would of thought that they would of organised a West Ham - Millwall friendly to round things off Foxy

If you care to take a closer look at the local Asian restaurants you will find some now offer a much extended menu. Having said that The Old Favourites are as popular as ever.. so why change.. Thursday- Saturday you often have to book. If you want something different at twice the price go to Ganapatti. I'm happy with whats available locally. Dulwich Tandoori offers :- 25 Starters.. 15 Tandoori Dishes... 23 House Specials... 15 Chef Specials... 19 Veggie Sides As well as 30 variations of the Old Favorites With the usual selection of Rice and Breads and sundries. So what exactly are you looking for ? Foxy

Do you own/work in a local restaurant. I'd love to pop along. DulwichFox DulwichFox
  20. Restaurants like Curry Cabin and other Curry Houses are not trying to make a killing over night. They have been around giving contiual service day in day out for the last 40+ years.. Then there are the Pop-ups.. opening when they choose and sodding off when they realise that they will need to be around for more than 6 months before seeking retirement in the sun and getting someone else to run the business for them why they sit back. People willing to put in the work deserve to be successful.. Those seeking a quick buck will never succeed in business. ...and that's why so many of them fail.. and not so much down to high rents... You have to be willing to start small and build up a business. DulwichFox
  21. 25% profit.. ? Yep . I've said it before.. Restaurants are the way to go.. and why some of the new Venues only have to open a few days a week or when it suits them... DulwichFox

  25. I don't like Spiders... BUT they really are good creatures.. They love to eat the bugs that ruin your garden plants.. When you start looking around you find that some have six eyes. And there are other kinds of spiders with four, two or even no eyes! But most spiders have eight eyes. Dispite this they have terrible eye-sight and only really see shadows and you need to be as close as 1ft away before they notice you.. It's supposed to be unlucky to kill a spider.. If you do, all his mates will come and get yer.. Foxy
