  1. Drove pass today.. Parking bays.. Noticed the 'Pay and Display' Ticket Machines have not been installed yet.. Give it time... Fox.
  2. I seem to remember the old waiting room from back in the mid 50's Old Fox
  3. Anagypta is actually designed to be painted... Which helped the soot and cigarette smoke to stick. Fox
  4. We all remember the old routemasters and previous buses. People have always evaded fares on those buses. Often conductors did not bother collecting fares especially at the end of their shifts. ATT that was mainly due to them counting up their takings to save time when they got back to the garage. Do not know if the new buses are Oyster only or conductors will collect money. Fox.
  5. New Routmaster Each Bus costs ?1.4M ( Regular Double Decker ?190,000 ) ?1,400,000 1 Oyster ticket ride = ?1.3p ?1,400,000 = 1,076,923 rides. 2,950 rides a day every day for 1 year 295 rides a day every day for 10 years and that does not pay for Fuel and Maintenance, Insurance tax, Driver & Conductor pay. Does this make commercial sence. Fox.
  6. Anaglypta was fine when People could smoke in pubs.. Gave the place real character once it had turned brown.. Took about 20-30 years. never needed painting... Foxy Fox :))

Most people bought their homes many years ago when pubs shut at 11.00. 10.30 on Sunday They should not have to put up with it.. Fox.
  8. I had a look in this morning... Just a Characterless Void. Another big open space. No internal walls to absorb sound / noise. Not impressed so far. Exactly what I expected... Prepared to be pleasantly suprised. Not holding my breath. Fox :(
  9. To Tattoo or not to Tattoo... http://www.blogcdn.com/www.asylum.com/media/2007/11/skull-face-tattoo-294a11090.jpg Very attractive.. Fox.
  10. At the moment the 63 bus terminates at the cemetary where there is a Bus Stand where the drivers rest up for 10 mins or so.. If extented to Honor Oak Park Station there would need to be a Bus Stand there.... ... or the bus returning from the Station would need to stop at the current Bus Stand with passengers already on board... Fox.
  11. Hi Sue.. Sneak Preview of ladies loo. http://img.weburbanist.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/toilet-4.png Enjoy..:)) Foxy
  12. Maybe they will reinstate the Dartboard they ripped out during the last refurb.. One Hundred and Eighty.... :)-D Foxy
  13. Anonymous Call Reject ? lets you block incoming calls from withheld UK numbers. Does not block calls from outside UK. You would need to block individual numbers. If you do not know that number then that is not possible. Calls could come from various numbers, countries. The Telephone Preference Service (TPS) lets you opt out of many marketing calls, and you can register both home and mobile telephone numbers. Once you register, your telephone number is no longer available to organisations that may telephone you with offers and information. These means these Genuine companies who have agreed to a Code of Practice Scammers do not follow this code. You cannot stop these calls anymore than you can stop someone ring your doorbell. You could make your line Out Going only, but then you would not be able to recieve any Incoming Calls. Fox. Telephone Engineer for 40 Years.
  14. bonniebird Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > We had them all the time, we have now registered > to block all these calls, so far so good! That's fine for calls which originate within the UK. As far as I know (to date) International Calls cannot be blocked. Most nusciance calls come from outside the UK. Fox.
  15. Hi Drxyster.. I posted in ans earlier Thread on this subject.. Yes they have called me many times. 3-4 times a week.. If I am bored I waste their time by going along with them.. They claim they are from Windows Support. They are not. They say they are seeing errors from your computer.. They cannot see erors from your computer. They Guide you through a few commands (They are Safe)(you can do these commands any time so you are familiar) >Start >Type Eventviewer in box. >Click on Windows Logs. >Click on System. They ask you if you can see errors.. There will always be errors.. Not a problem Normal. They tell you these errors are Viruses. They are not. Then they tell you they do not need any password but ask you to type an address in your Browser. You will then be asked to download a program. These programs allow you to Invite people onto your machine and can be used by legitimate Tech Support to help you sort out problems remotely. These people are not Tech Support. They are scammers. They will say that you need to leave the link open for some time so they can access your problems. They have complete control of your PC and access to all your files and e-mail accounts They will come back to you, advise you have problems and tell you that you need special Malware removal Software. They will take your credit card details. They may then guide you to a link that downloads further Malware or just keep your Credit card details and steal your Money.. Just be careful. Foxy

That's the Problem... That fact that they are Lucrative means they do not stop people from speeding. Traffic calming is more effective than Cameras.. Whose Only purpose is to create revenue. Fox

  18. Saw a programme recently about keeping Urban Green spaces wild by growing Flowers on them. This includes Roundabouts and Dual Carraigeways... Essential for our insects and Bees.. Book by Sarah Raven. Here Gardening presenter Sarah Raven is heading up a new show starting on Wednesday 21 September called Bees, Butterflies and Blooms, which aims to look into how we can help boost the number of insects and wild flowers in the UK. Do not think email has been hacked. Just an email that would of been sent out to 100's of people hoping someone will respond. Like Pizza leaflets through your door. Usually when you get hacked all the people in your address book will get a mail that appears to come from you. or you get email that appears to come from you. Check the senders mail address and add it to your 'Blocked Senders List'. Fox.

Turned out that someone had > hijacked his gmail account. He was completely > locked out and had to ditch it. Beware! I believe gmail is no encrypted bu default. Any email can be compromised when you are using a Wi-Fi connection in a cafe / bar. Equipment can be obtained which can monitor other Users and Hi-Jack their email account. When this happens the user will not be able to log out of their account and the hacker will have total control of the hi-jacked account. Fox.
  21. Do not need another Supermarket... New Crossings are needed because of the amount of traffic.. Saturday traffic worse because of the 100's cars going so Sainsburys.. Lordship Lane Red Route restricted parking killing local trade. Convinient for Sainsburys. Friends in High Places. Fox.
  22. Totally agree with RosieH Fox.. PS. You could try Buckingham Palace.. :)) or is that SW1A 1AA ???
  23. People suggesting car parks are a good place to practice because their Driving Instructors took them there are forgetting one major thing. Driving School cars have Dual Control and the Instructor can overide the Learner. Binary_star's car does not have Dual Control. Fox.
  24. Putting these crossings in will not stop peolple crossing Lordship Lane anywhere else. It will not stop people crossing when the 'RED Man' is showing. The crossing at Townley road had to be manned by a Lollipop Person because small children do not understand that such crosssings are not 'Magic Carpets' where the traffic stops when you step onto them. How many people have been injured crossing Lordship Lane in the last 5 Years.? Let's see if such figures are improved. Fox
  25. Car parks especially Supermarket Car parks are notoriously hazardous places to drive / learn to drive. With people coming from all directions and people reversing, collisions are very common. Also there may be many pedestrians including small children who may be difficult to see. You may not be insured as you are on private land. You will have to foot the bill for any damage to your car and third party's vehicle if you have an accident. Fox
