  2. Crossings:- 1. To get to Icelands 2. to get to The Co-Op 3. to get to the Bishop 4. to get to the EDT. Southwark Council think of everyone. :)) Fox...
  3. As Sue Says:- And get someone else to read it over before you send it off - it's very easy not to see a typo when you've spent ages staring at something. Typos... Providing the first and last letters of each word are correct, generally a sentence can be understood. Prvoidnig the frist and lsat ltetres of ecah wrod are crorcet, genrelaly a senetcne can be udnersotod. If you have written somwthing and know what it says, you will not spot the typos. Fox.

  5. maxxi Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I heard it was going to be a Fine Fare, a Mace or > a VG. Fine Fare became Somerfields / Gateways.. The company started as a single supermarket in Brighton in 1956.[1] It was one of a series of convenience store chains established in the 1950s, the others being Premier and Victor Value.[2] By 1962 it had 200 shops.[3] The company was acquired by Associated British Foods in 1963.[4] ABF appointed James Gulliver to the post of Chairman of Fine Fare in 1967: he continued to lead the business until 1972.[5] In 1986, ABF sold the company to The Dee Corporation (subsequently known as Somerfield).[6] Following this, all Dee Corporation's newly-acquired stores were rebranded as Gateway or closed, and the Fine Fare name had disappeared by the end of the 1980s. Fine Fare was perhaps most notable for its sponsorship of the Scottish Football League which commenced for the 1985-86 season (beginning August 1985)[7] to the 1987-88 season (which ended in May 1988, around the same time that the last Fine Fare stores closed).[8]

That may well be true... but are they in direct competition with one of the largest Sainsburys in the country with 500+ parking spaces. + a Co-op + an Iceland + Sainsburys Local. + Dozens of Local shops.. I did say a favoured spot.. So if somewhere more suitable then they will go for it. Fox.
  7. East Dulwich will never be favoured for a Waitrose Store because of the lack of parking. Parking not that much better Honor Oak Park. The few short term parking outside The Co-Op now gone due to the 2 new crossings. Iceland has limited parking at the back of store. (if that is still there)??? Fox..

  15. Yes they have called me many times. 3-4 times a week.. If I am bored I waste their time by going along with them.. They claim they are from Windows Support. They are not. They say they are seeing errors from your computer.. They cannot see erors from your computer. They Guide you through a few commands (They are Safe)(you can do these commands any time so you are familiar) >Start >Type Eventviewer in box. >Click on Windows Logs. >Click on System. They ask you if you can see errors.. There will always be errors.. Not a problem Normal. They tell you these errors are Viruses. They are not. Then they tell you they do not need any password but ask you to type an address in your Browser. You will then be asked to download a program. These programs allow you to Invite people onto your machine and can be used by legitimate Tech Support to help you sort out problems remotely. These people are not Tech Support. They are scammers. They will say that you need to leave the link open for some time so they can access your problems. They have complete control of your PC and access to all your files and e-mail accounts They will come back to you, advise you have problems and tell you that you need special Malware removal Software. They will take your credit card details. They may then guide you to a link that downloads further Malware or just keep your Credit card details and steal your Money.. Just be careful. Foxy
  16. Can anyone recommend an Oven Cleaning Service or Self use product that really works in removing baked on grease and carbon deposits... My Electric Oven really needs a spruce up. Fox.
  17. Be careful when using compressed air can and especially if using vacuum Cleaner(not advised). Fan should be imobilised to stop it spinning too fast and damaging the bearings.. This can be done with a straw or a toothpick placed through the grill and fan blades.. Foxy Tip.

  20. Thread seems to of Morphed from one about The CPT to one about Hoopers... When it comes to people bothering to complain about noise then the number is likely to small as only a handfull of houses can ever be directly opposite a pub. Houses 100-200+ Metres away not going to be affected by noise from the place. To question why someone should buy a house near a pub is ridiculous. Place probably closed at 11.00 when they bought it. Should question why someone would take on a pub in a residential area if they intend to apply for late licence. Pubs that have requested extended hours should respect their neighbours. Fox..

I was told the Post Office could do this, but they say they cannot do it. I asked my bank but was told they can only do this if you are personally known by the manager. Been with my bank for 40 Years and thgey don't know me. Was told it has to be someone I have a personal relationship with. like a doctor. My dentist could not help so I tried my GP. who also refused.
