One very important point missing throughout this thread is that people are encouraged to Attend Public Displays rather than have their own in their back gardens. Brockwell park Display scrapped last year. (Lambeth) but still attended by ED folk. People love fireworks and Public displays are a Safe way for the whole family to enjoy a night out. ?55k is not a lot of money. If we all knew what other monies are spent and on what. ?millions wasted. This thread was not about whether or not to have a display it was about why Firework Night was to be renamed The Colour Thief.

Iceland doesn't just sell Frozen Food. It sells.. Bread...Biscuits... Crisps... Sweets.. Chocolate... Soft Drinks... Cakes... Lots of things.. and is cheaper than the other shop on the corner of North Cross rd. and it has a small car park at the rear. ...and provides some local jobs... ... and there are always people in there... ... and it has survived a long time... unlike some other shops... Well the Title of this thread is 'Iceland Eyesore' So the Iceland Logo is a bit Brash... http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSSlKEgze03lnu1zK_7Hb8i_dsRsgtI1fzdUhGdLAV197WMQncrKg Or a little better http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRM4K_Ei-lBV1Sv5XOumzzmyMQ9sU52Zvbsk5FVVXgwwPB6-SXB Why not design your own prefered logo and post it here.

....the Thames Festival is in September.. Guy Fawkes Night, also known as Guy Fawkes Day and Bonfire Night, is an annual commemoration observed on 5 November. It was to celebrate the foiled Gunpowder Plot of 1605. Perhaps The anti Catholic sentiment was the reason behind the not 'Politically Correct' tag. Hence Labour wanting to rename it. Well it's taken them a long time. Sounds like Labour Councillors have nothing more important to worry about. Very similar to the 'Rename Waterloo' campaign. because it might offend French Visitors Well they did not rename Waterloo. They just moved the terminus to St Pancras What else are we going to rename.? Trafalgar Square. ?? Fox.

Plot to rename bonfire night James Barber Liberal Democrat Councillor for East Dulwich Article by James Tweeted on Twitter. Labour run Southwark Council have decided to hold a public bonfire event in Dulwich Park. Sadly they don?t feel they want to call it firework display but have come up with a more politically correct name for the event ? ?The Colour Thief?. What is not politically Correct with 'Firework Display' or 'Bonfire night' What is so politically Correct with ?The Colour Thief?. Am I missing something.?? Article Here

I have viewed the bollards whilst stuck at the lights Dunstans Rd Forest Hill Rd junction.. It would seem to me that a a few people must of decended at night for a quick spray for a bit of a laugh. They have not been carefully painted. Just a prank. No real harm done. but would be better if more colour co-ordinated of themed. Not a Banksy but a Pranksy Fox.

There was a programme on TV or it may of been the news where a Supermarket's Till Software was transmitting on a frequency that affected car door locks. Cannot remember the details but it took a lot of investigatios to work out what was going on. Fox. -

It's effect on any individual cannot be determined as it would seem be dependent on any underlying medical conditions the individual user might have. N.O. Replaces Oxygen in the lungs ans the Brain. This can lead to unconciousness or death. Mixing N.O. with over drugs can increase the halucegenic effects to a terrifying level. Lack of Oxygen may cause severe Nerve Damage in all the vital organs including the Brain resulting in organ failure and Instant death. N.O is very unpredictable. Here is one website that gives some details Here
