  2. Ok we are all a bit sentimental when it comes down to the destruction of familiar landmarks. Was the builing Practical for any new usage. Difficult to heat, Green Footprint Needs rewiring?, Needs re-plumbing?, Needs Asbestos removal?. Need to control what is put in it's place.
  3. Ok.... So buy a Stubbi. Smoke your Ciggarettes. Place butts in Stubbi. You can put Chewing gum in some Stubbi's When your Stubbi is full. Simply drop it on the Pavement, Road, Park and forget all about it. ***Simples***

  5. Hi thfc2001, Ignore all the cynics. I did not feel this tremor. I did feel one back in the 1980's and another one some time since. (East Dulwich) In an average year, about 200 earthquakes are detected and located by BGS, and around 15% are felt by people. Historically, the largest known British earthquake occurred on the Dogger Bank in 1931, with a magnitude of 6.1. Fortunately, it was 60 miles offshore but it was still powerful enough to cause minor damage to buildings on the east coast of England. source:- http://www.earthquakes.bgs.ac.uk/aboutus/publications/annual_reports/2007_18th_annual_report.pdf There was an earthquake on March 8th 1750 which affected Peckham Rye. I have felt an Earthquake whilst on holiday in Turkey. The epicentre was actually in Greece. I woke and found myself sliding back and forth across the bed. Very strange.
  6. I understand cats hate citrus, Try Lemon or Orange peel
  7. The Bishop provides ashtrays on all the outside tables for it's customers, but I have seen smokers just toss their buts in the road or throw them on the floor. Undo the cellophane wrapper, drop on the floor, remove silver foil, drop on floor. It is an automatic proceedure for many smokers. Note:- NOT accusing staff. I am talking about customers.
  8. Cheers Scott, Vast improvement on The Uplands. Really Good evening. Now with The Bishop, The Actress & The Victoria Inn. Spoilt for choice. Once again Thank You

  17. Are you fed up with people parking in 'your' spot outside your house. ? Simply Park in your space, Never use your car and nobody can steal your spot.
  18. I thought there were street cameras on all the lamp posts on North Cross Rd. I'm sure I have seen these small cylindrical devices that point downwards. Not sure if they are still there. Were they removed when the Street lights were upgraded ?
  19. Delivery Drivers have no obligation to enter your property. Please read here
  20. Living here in East Dulwich is quite unique. With quiet side streets just a couple of hundred metres from bustling Lordship Lane. With bars, restaurants, shops. E.D. Has excellent transport links to the West End and City. I have always been a 'City Person' I also like the Sea and could live on the Coast. Driving through the countryside there are some beautiful villages. There are some houses that are really remote. No Pub, no shop, some with no bus service. Have you ever though about living in the middle of nowhere. I think I would go crazy.
  21. Noticed last night, another picture has been stolen. Some others damaged. It's a great shame, but I did say this would happen at the meeting in the Palmeston earlier this year when the idea was first suggested. It was a nice idea that isn't going to work in ED. There are simply too many scum bags around.
  22. There are in place facilities to make Charitable Donations to King's College Hospital. Strange that you got a letter. Not sure if this is correct procedure. ? Just be careful that this is genuine if you choose to make a donation.
  23. Last week I took a walk around Westminister, Soho, Oxford Street area. There were many of these cycle hire ranks. I only saw 1 empty docking station. All the bikes parked up. So not being used. ?50.00 for 24 hours. Bus and Tube pass ?7.00 ish for the day. Why risk you life on a bicycle
