well luca i,ll jump in here before the residents of ed shoot you to pieces for daring to mention the harvester on the ed forum, you see it dosent serve sun dried this that or the other and i doubt any of the produce is organic, locally sourced or bought from farmers markets so its not really considered a suitable place for most of our forumites, in fact the majority of them would be happy to see the place go and be replaced with yet another clone gastropub, that serves "proper" food with real ales and continental lagers. but as the its been in ed longer than the majority of the forumites i say stuff them. anyway to answer your question the harvester originates from the steak and chips/chicken and chips school of cooking, however there is a good choice of starters/mains and desserts with a pretty good kids menu, plus the world famous;-)salad cart. so if its bog standard fare like chicken/steak/prawn cocktail/oven chips/bbq sauce your after then its highly recommended if not steer clear. personally i like the place as theres nothing like a bit of deep fried scran to raise the spirits plus its cheap and the kids always have a whale of a time there. give it a try you wont know otherwise.

its not too bad when worn with the shorts a la players do but for the ordinary bod in the pub it would probably look as bad as england did today. i can see then raise their game against the bokke(is that better brendan),but at the same time i dont see too many south africans having restless nights.

he is now, string em up i say;-)

make room in the boat im coming in as well, just proves how good marketing and word of mouth can turn an below average performer into the saviour of british comedy. gervais has managed to make a career on the back of the unfunny and totally unfathomable the office, and as bob has pointed out the only reason the equally unfunny extras was received as well as it was,was because of the guest appearances of proper stars with acting and comic ability, one also suspects they didnt do it just for the privilage of working with gervaise.

no disrespect to the child but she looks like one of those troll dolls that used to be the rage several years ago. personally i blame the father.

good point as well jeremy no point criticising anybodys career/lifestyle/moneymaking choice we,re all big people and capable enough of making those decisions. as a registered nurse i have choice pouring out of my ears and although i still practice in my chosen field there are so many other fields that with my skills and knowledge i am well capable of branching off to,but im at a stage now when i am very appreciative of having 4 days off per week while at the same time providing quite capably for the family and myself so at present i see no need to change.i think however the problem others have had with this thread is that while the bonuses presently being paid in the city are excessive and the bods who are receiving them may or not deserve them, that is the field of expertise they have choosen to work in and if it results in getting a nice juicy bonus every once in a while then fair play to them.

When is a pharmacy not a pharmacy? (Sainsbury's)
spadetownboy replied to David Mc's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
no i dont but to answer one of your earlier questions it is generally assumed that pharmacies dispense meds there and then on the spot and obviously the ability to do so is good for business, however it is not an obligation and it is fairly common practice for perscriptions to be left and collected in the following days especially repeat perscriptions which this one obviously was so i,ve said it before and i,ll say it again maybe davy mc wants to go and complain to those who issue his scripts so that his supplies remain constant rather than running out and then making a pointless issue about sainsburys inability to give him the tablets there and then to answer your question sean im as chilled as a glass of crisp chardonnay, the problem i have with this post is im sick to death of people whinging about this that and the other and that everything that happens is someone elses fault except theirs. this david mc chap has obviously went to sainsburys to get a perscription cashed in and when told he cant pick it up until the following day because they havent yet got the appropriate licence to dispense he decides this isnt good enough and its all sainsburys fault, creating a fuss in the shop isnt going change anything, they havnt got the licence they havnt got it,bite the bullet, store it in the memory bank for next time and move on. hes got no-one to blame except himself. -

the grandstand theme certainly got my juices flowing.

why dont you stop wasting everybody elses time and in future ensure you get your perscriptions organised so that you dont run out and you have stock available.simple isnt it.
