mscraw, just to fill you in hallow, een is not another americanism, its actually a celebration of an old celtic pagan festival and was around long before mr colombus was even a twinkle in his parents eyes. its has always been very widely celebrated in ireland and calling on houses has always been a tradition as long as i can remember, as gerry points out it is great fun espicially back home as we know how to enjoy it. you dont get none of the bah humbug attitude you get over here pumpkin or no pumpkin all houses are fair game and all will have a little something for the kids. so lighten up you miserable gits and get the haribo in for the kids, cans and single fags for the older ones.

why should the music be turned down ,if someone has put a couple of quid in a jukie then they should be able to listen to the music, saying that there should be a bit of give and take ie if there is match on then it might be polite to wait until its over before sticking on the jukie, rather than having the two sounds compete, or if the guv,nor knows there is a big match on with a crowd expected not switch the jukie on in the first place.

he certainly is a very unlikable and manipulative character, pretty much like the bloke that did the film on mcdonalds, super size me, theres guys making a lot of money out of what joe public knows already, that the american healthcare system is unfair, that bush is a mong and that mcdonalds is bad for you but apart from mcds introducing salad and fruit to the menu is what they say going to change anything except the size of their bank balance i think not.

its worth checking out what extras you get, im with the post office and they throw in home cover which basically if anything leaks or dosent work etc they send someone round to fix it, i had a leaking stopcock on my rising main and tried my basic pluming skills to repair it no go,called the po last tue evening and the bloke came round on wed morning took one look went outside and turned the house water supply off came back in and replaced the whole valve took 30 mins and according to him if i had used a normal pluming service there wouldnt have been much change from a ton, so cant really argue with that.

never a patient there thank christ, but when i first started working at kings ,i was renting in east dulwich grove and used to get the shuttle bus between the two sites and my only abiding memory of the place was coming off nights, getting the shuttle to dulwich and popping into the hospital for a nice fried breakfast before hitting the pillow.
