  1. Camberwell and Peckham should definitely have been part of the future Bakerloo line extension. Also, the diversion of the northern line into the Singapore on Thames / money laundering cul-de-sac of Nine elms / Battersea haven't helped. SE London is so poorly served compared to the rest of London and every new transport project is either a bung to property developers or seems to be aimed at already well served areas. Mind you, it's good to see Ealing getting another 2 stations with Crossrail - I think that'll bring them into double figures.

  5. ...lets put him in the driving seat before the inevitable car crash.
  6. Don't get me wrong, I despise Boris - but at the moment he gets to sit back and criticise the way Brexit is being handled ('it would have been great, but for those who did not really believed in it' etc.)and remains the darling of the right. He should be held accountable for the inevitable car crash and then removed in disgrace. Instead hes going to take 'credit' for bringing about brexit, avoid responsibility when it all goes wrong and almost certainly end up in power anyway at the end of it all.
  7. There is absolutely no way that she can satisfy the brextremists in her own party. It's a no deal, or a leadership challenge. But probably not before months of damaging incompetence and infighting. Personally, I would like to see Boris in charge - simply on the grounds of 'you break it, you buy it'.
  8. I can't imagine backpackers wanting to stay in ED. There's no transport and it's largely a suburban, family area.
  9. David Davis has repeatedly lied to Parliament and the public. He has demonstrated gross incompetence and mendacity and should be sacked.
  10. The transport links in SE London generally are way below par. Yet recent new investment has been largely targeted at areas with already excellent provision. It's really not acceptable and acknowledging the situation is the first step towards addressing it.
  11. Surely he will be impeached at some point. He's unhinged.
  12. This is all rather jolly

  15. Shame it's not coming to the Rye
  16. From the sweet shop, and don?t call me person

Do people move to Sutton? I guess some must do. The whole grammar thing is another story altogether of course.
  18. I thought most of the gap-year age children of Dulwich Village consider themselves 'travellers'.
  19. It's in no one's interests for kids to travel across London to go to school. Children should go to their local school, which should be representative of the local community imo. All schools should be good schools and in London, most are. The idea of people moving to be near a 'good school' is grossly exagerated.

As opposed to a primary school for children travelling large distances?
  21. Fair do's fishbiscuit - I was being a bit mischievous. To be fair, I haven't been to the new Forza, so it may be a very positive change. I did like the previous 'dining club' type model as it was a bit different, but I'm sure the new incarnation is also good. Bit gutted about the Nines though. Wonder what will replace it.
