  5. Darling ???? Let me pour you a nice big glass of Paddy Power?
  6. Shame on me, it is true. But I do have a Grade 8 for playing the Uilleann pipes and all manner of other certificates too.
  7. Yes indeed, and we can all imagine how the patrons would have behaved if in fact he had been royalty!
  8. Wedding dress? What wedding dress... http://z.about.com/d/golosangeles/1/7/I/5/-/-/KMD06IrishFairIrvine_192Lowx.jpg
  9. From behind Chinese screen "Well, a girl could be waiting all night in her for Michael Palaeologus to keep a promise!" Dances out from behind screen in full Irish dancing outfit with special ringlet wig accessory... and breaks into a jig.
  10. OHMYGOD!
  11. Declan sweetie, how could having a website gone to my head? I don't understand. I have had my blog for almost as long as this forum has been up and running lovley boy. Is it not true that during the late 80's and early 90's, those training as nurses in Kings College Hospital (then Normanby College of Nursing) consisted of 95% southern Irish females who drank at The Swan in Stockwell? How is that patronising?
  12. My poppets loved it in there (sigh). What a shame. The staff in there were so very family friendly. There are so few restaurants that make the little ones welcome locally...
  13. I agree. I wear fabulous boots and people regularly (I am not conscious of their faith or colour) openly compliment me on them - but then, I am completely fabulous you know. Men just can't help themselves...
  14. Don't worry Mr Tony.London Suburbs, I understand that the Irish must be feeling genuinely threatened. I hear the Eastern European's stole their building jobs and now the Swan in Stockwell is set to turn into a Polish bar. The Irish shop on Lorship lane is soon to be taken over by a famous chain of Kielbasa sausage shops. I haven't met an Irish assistant in Greggs the bakers or nurse in Kings College hospital for years. The times are changing sweetie...
  15. Oh dear, I am so very sorry indeed. I thought that as you Irish are all so very jolly, what with your downing arms lately and practically being British anyhow. I apologise profusely, can I buy any of you a drink at the next forum drinks? I know how you all simply love your Guinness!
  16. Oh Mark, thank God you are here! I was almost convinced by pk's articulate and well informed arguement. I was about to head off for Sunday mass (sigh).

Oh *Bob* dear heart, I wonder if this just happens to you sweetie? And thank you dear Halicon, I hate to think I miss a trick in the fashion stakes. The poor girl!
  18. I would sooo hate to offend any of the lovely Paddies on the EDF (sigh).
  19. OHMYGOD! I apologise profusely. I have no idea at all about Irish history. I am of Argentinian parentage afterall. I was just trying to be down with the kids...
  20. Oliver Cromwell?
  21. Oh look! The pope wants to beatify a Nazi now. Dear me, whatever next.
  22. Well, how convenient for you that those who have been abused as children by adults in a position of trust and authority, are statistically more likely to end up disengaged with society and on the wrong side of the law. Being an "ex con" as you so nicely put it, does not mean that your word is worth nothing. How very convenient for the Roman Catholic Church that there are those in its congregation who seem to believe it does. Wouldn't it be just frightful if that income stream were to dry up. You do know that Jesus spent some time inside sweetie, don't you?
  23. OHMYGOD! This is really dreadful. *Whispers* "where did she buy those boots?"
  24. OHMYGOD! So, you would not be prepared to believe the evidence of those against whom these offences have been committed because they may have ended up becoming "ex cons" as you put it. How nice to live in your world. Many of these "ex cons" are named. Much of their evidence is substantiated. Many of these vile preditors have admitted their offences anyway.
  25. No, I do not. But I do believe that the Roman Catholic church is an organisation that goes out of its way to accommodate them.
