  1. I had a small fridge in my room. In my experience, it won't stop, people come and go in shared student accommodation - even overnight visitors will steal food. I once witnessed a backpacker (who turned out not to know anyone in our halls at all) from New Zealand make a stir fry with a Dairylea triangle, an apple, a pack of chinese noodles and some Bovril. LOCK EVERYTHING AWAY.
  2. I have to say, I have had the same experience as Pickle - two years ago they delivered to me on Easter Saturday, they were very, very late, gave me someone elses Easter Eggs (about 6) and lots of substitutions - lots and lots. When I pointed out that I had not ordered Easter eggs - they guy laughed and told me to keep them - he didn't care a jott that someone else may have been expecting them and hadn't received any. That made me feel sick, to think that some poor child on Easter morning hadnt received their Easter eggs because of that man. I never stray from Ocado.
  3. I am sure there was a thread on here recently asking the same question and there were lots of suggestions. We have been to review The Grove. They are about 40 minutes from central London and have the most amazing childcare and facilities. They do a special package each Christmas - last year it was based around The Lion, the witch and the wardrobe, and their walled garden area, which houses their childcare, was completely decked out for the occasion. The hotel is set in a famous golf course and the spa has won Best Spa in the world last year in The Telegraph, their restaurants, food and accommodation are all amazing. I have reviewed several such establishments, but I genuinely couldn't recommend The Grove highly enough. My son says that he prefers The Grove to Disneyland Paris - when he was there he was 7 and my daughter was 5.
  4. Huguenot, I didnt start the conversation about Tom Ford, I simply joined in and said that I had been invited to a press event. As people clearly like the products I thought I would keep them up to speed. I am horrified at how arrogantly you attack others on here. Your behavior is nothing less than bullying and your ignorance breathtaking. Shame on you. I thought that you were bigger than that. No doubt you will bounce back on here with your clever words and put me down, but just think about it please. You are completely out of order. You make me feel ill.
  5. For all the Tom Ford devotees; There will be a limited edition nail, lip and compact perfume collection in Harvey Nichols from 4th October, a deep dark plummy colour - "evocative of the black orchid flower that inspired the scent" for ?90! The colour and scent are stunning. Is it too early to start a Christmas list (admires fresh manicure)?
  6. I have friends who sing the praises of Rosemead. Apparently it is a very caring independent school for little ones and is particularly enlightened and nurturing with regard to children with special needs. The teaching is supposed to be terrific and it is a really warm environment.
  7. Some of this is cool fashion - well I think it is anyway...
  8. being chased, but there is a 10K being run for a terrific charity, The Emer Casey Memorial Foundation on 24th October at 11 am in Brockwell Park, and it would be great if a few of us could get involved - I am going to walk it... You can register here and the fundraising pages are here. Ah come on...
  9. Dear KSTherapy, Yes, Neals Yard with all of its pretty bottles. I have read a lot about them online over the last few months. Congratulations HeidiHi, the most natural and safe thing of all will always be to let your body sort it out. Your pelvis is constructed to encourage a baby to exit by the preferred route. We are great at reproducing. If there are concerns and worries about issues such as breech, it is best to to chat with your obstetrician and midwife.
  10. Dear byngo, why don't you ask your midwife? Do you see a midwife at your GP surgery? They are usually up to speed with all of the current research on this issue. Has she suggested anything?
  11. Belle Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > KM - I saw a nutritionist at the Dulwich Therapy > Rooms above Health Matters, Lyn Gordon - found her > very good. Holy hell. Have you ever heard of placebo? Please read Bad Science!
  12. I am just hoping that Tom Ford is going to come up with some matching nail polish for next season. I ADORE TOM FORD (prrr). Mick Mac sweetie, it is you who is Not Our Class Darling - you know it! Don't worry girls I shall try to take some sneaky pics of the new Tom Ford collection with my phone and if there is anything of note, I shall keep you up to speed!
  13. Have you read Bad Science by Ben Goldacre? You should...
  14. Warning - girlie post alert Oh RosieH and giggirl, I am so very excited now! I have been invited to a private viewing of the Tom Ford Beauty 2010 Seasonal collection at The Connaught next week and now I will not be able to sleep until I go! Only 4 more sleeps! I CANT WAIT!
  15. There is only one thing worse than Boden, that is Jules HOLYHELL! Could people please chose clothes from somewhere else?
  16. I do not like the Germans. They are aggressive, rude, often have excessive facial and underarm hair of which they are blatantly proud (and that is just the women) and occasionally wear very strange knee lenth leather trousers with bibs. They are not to be trusted. How dare they have such a thriving economy. I do not like the French, their toilet facilities are an abomination - the doors are often too high off the floor and have a big gap all the way around. It is still possible to find hole in the ground toilets in France and the toilet paper is inhospitable and likely to inflict paper cuts. I like hugs and I like Sean MacGabhan although I think he has been hormonal lately. I also like Mike Bate - he is good at hugging, I like Mark and Keef too (sigh). OK I like some girls as well, but that is purely platonic (bats eyelashes).
  17. RosieH dear, Are you sure that trevone has not been... eating kebabs in bed?
  18. Womanofdulwich, Send me your progeny... A year employed in my home, on a gap year you understand, as an aupair, and I will find the child a work ethic (cackles)...
  19. If you must travel to Nigeria and will be staying in a hotel, bring your own kettle.
  20. Lovely ClareC, I would consider bringing my own George Foreman grill too...
