  1. Black cab drivers earn in excess of ?50,000 a year. Who in their right minds would tip these miserable moaning high earners? Only Tourists and Bankers and MPs.
  2. Why doesn?t Transport for London spend it?s money on a system which would see buses arrive at fixed times at stops? In Germany buses wait at their stops until it?s the correct time for them to go. HERE buses race from stop to stop so the drivers can get back early. Bus Stops are placed half way into the road so as to stop the traffic! It?s nonsense. The millions spent on a rotten system run by idiots to drive us all round the bend.
  3. Lenk You are one of the reasons I love this forum I really had a great laugh. My face is aching from grinning and laughing. So very funny. Maybe Nigel gets down the pub with his bus mates and has a right old laugh about what he got away with the punters on his 185 bus. Funny funny funny ? Oh lol

That made me laugh VERY good Thanks best laugh I?ve had all day. Ahhhh my sides? I know you really think Nigel can use a computer? But could he write anything that could possibly justify his outrageous behaviour? LMTO?.

Yes my small-minded opinions based on what I have seen and experienced. Bus drivers not stopping to pick up. Bus drivers not stopping to drop off. Bus drivers doing 50 mph. Bus drivers going round corners at 50 mph. Bus drivers harassing pedestrians. Bus drivers harassing car drivers. Bus drivers jumping red lights. Bus drivers arguing with mums with prams. The small list goes on and on ?? The reason for this behaviour besides the size of their brains yes you guessed it cost cutting. When there was a conductor and a driver that partnership ended up with two ? brains making a whole brain and there were fewer problems. Still there were quite a few thick conductors but the driver was able to focus on driving which meant the worries of passengers would not end un in bus driver rage in the driving department!

  7. LOL I'm double chilled out! Just speaking my mind. The Bully Bus drivers. This has been the case for years but nothing changes. South London Bus Drivers are a Disgrace. They are the ones who are NOT chilled out. I just say it, as it is.

My point was bus driver?s behaviour shows their level of Intelligence to be rather ? LOW. If they behaved in an intelligent way they would not be showing how VERY small their Brains are?.. Black CAB drivers have only proved they have good memories nothing else. Minicab drivers are bus drivers who aren?t thick enough to accept the low level of pay or an ability to get to the depot on time or they don?t have the right to work in he UK. They become arrogant within a few days of contact with busses and cabs on our happy streets. What annoys me is the lack of use of Horns for fear of starting WW3 road rage this time it?s personal. The other day I hooted to warn a driver his car was car rolling back into mine and it was as if I?d insulted him and his entire family. I though must have been an of duty Bus driver.

I?d like to take this opportunity to say directly to YOU and your MATE how disgusted I am with the behaviour of almost all bus drivers. You are almost all?.. Aggressive. RUDE. Arrogant. And Dangerous. You make our daily lives more stressful than they need to be. There are only two lower levels of disgraceful behaviour on London roads. Black cab drivers. And Minicab drivers. Must have something to do with carrying passengers. I have seen half full busses failing to stop at bus stops many times with those waiting angrily gesturing in obvious frustration. Busses speeding and driving aggressively into small gaps rather than waiting when it is obvious they will cause traffic jam. Defender If I were you I?d disappear and not say another word because there is NO excuse for 90% of the unreasonable behaviour bus drivers a guilty of. You all make it quite clear that if you had any BRAINS you wouldn?t be driving busses. DISGUSTING bunch the LOT of YOU!!!
  10. Pay 25% - 50% more and live further from central London ? for Wimbledon or Hampstead.? Dulwich Village has been relatively underrated. But then East Dulwich has more than made up for SE London.

As it appears the pipes have been there for many years ie since conversion, I doubt you can do anything, unless you and your neighbours refurbish and re run them. TW won?t be interested past the mains feed upto your boundry on the pavement.

You shouldn't have anyone else?s pipes going through your property even if it?s a flat the mains should be routed through common areas only. A pressure regulator on your neighbours will stop the clanging problems caused by incorrectly installed pipes ? they should have been fixed in place with clips.?

  15. I wish I had higher pressure. I would happily fit a pressure regulator on the mains and replace fittings at my own cost rather than suffer from the pathetic pressure I have!
  16. Road traffic around schools is down to poor Southwark Planning. Southwark should require schools to have sufficient off road facilities for parents to drop children on the school premises. Alleyns grounds could easily be set out to have a drive through for set down, but they will do everything they can to avoid that and load up the local roads rather than rearrange their grounds. If you live next to a school you have to accept the problems of parking traffic etc. So the soultion lies with Southwark forcing Alleyns to do the right thing, residents should lobby for that.
  17. As a Southwark council taxpayer I LOVE Alleyns and all the other private schools! All fee-paying parents give indirectly to the community and council taxpayers. Every child who is at Alleyns etc is one less child at a STATE School. So saving all of us the cost of that child?s school place! Fantastic! The parents PAY TAXES ?like the rest of us tax payers? to send local children to state schools ????. Then pay AGAIN to send their own kids to private school! If it were a fair system then they would get a TAX rebate for sending their children to private school.
  18. M123 keep on the subject and don?t be a fist. Nothing to us discussing what it was about on here. TillieTrotter Am I not being Sherlock by asking all the questions? But not getting les answers cos nobody cares what the reasons are! And If they do know they won?t tell because they are only 10-12 years old uneducated or in fear of their lives. One fact I did discover was that of the stabbers they pretended to be under 14yrs old but were well over 18?
  19. So. Anybody know what the stabbings were all about then? I see it's all gone V quite. Yea best brush it under the carpet like it never happened and Keep MUM .................... NO backbone for the TRUTH! All heads remain firmly in the sand. I see what is truly ? sad ? ?.
  20. louisiana None of that tosh is possible in se21 or se22 never mind anywhere else in the UK. Try buying a plot of land to build a house on you?re having a laugh. Finding a plot would be the easy bit then you?d need the planning that?d take err about 10 years then you?d need to get it build that?d take 5 years. ?+ The costs once factoring in the stress and the time not worth the effort unless it?s your life / hobby. You?ll get a poorly built modern house in 10 ? 15 years time on a plot the size of a postage stamp in the middle of a load of &rap. If you?re lucky. Or just do the sensible thing and buy a Victorian house which can be renovated easily at relatively low cost whilst you live in it, the extension may take a couple of years at worst if no planning is required otherwise with planning that?ll take up to 5 years + at least you?ll have somewhere to live whilst waiting. I tried new build once would never ever ever ever EVER do it again! It?s easy to insulate a victorian house is you need to. Otherwise I agree ?grim a decade or two from now? But why make it worst for your self? I do realise you're joking. ;-)

I don?t see any other way to stop the young kids from carrying knives. There are bigger issues, which are outside of the remit of the Police. This is a police function something within their powers. But. It would appear the regular police are far more concerned with not upsetting people than they are about whether kids are carrying knives or worst. If properly managed I?m sure it would go some way to reducing the number of knifes kids are carrying and lead to fewer deaths. I guess the trade off is it could alienate the kids even further form society but it would appear they are so dysfunctional and live in a sub culture that they couldn?t get further away from regular society. So the impact might benefit and be one of reintegration via training those who are caught carrying knives. We?ll never know if we don?t know who?s carrying and we?ll never know unless they are caught in possession. After unlike Northern Ireland and the US we are talking about kids not organised adult criminals here.
  23. Being stopped in a car by traffic police is as far as I?m aware not the kind of stop and search, which the Police or we are talking about. Think about it 10-16 year old killers with knives don?t drive cars. It looks more and more like stop and search on young kids is not and has not been happening. Yet another misleading load of tosh! Maybe 10year old undercover police are searching these kids whilst they are doing sport and their clothes are in the changing room? The stabbings have been going on since around 1989 and it?s been getting worst. Maybe the Gov and police view is ---------------------------------------------------- Best not upset anyone by stopping then in public and searching him or her, far better to just let it fizzle out. Maybe they?ll all kill each other and then there?ll be no more. Who cares anyhow it?s not as if these kids are going to add anything to society. -----------------------------------------------------
  24. Now we know you've see 4 stop and searches. As they say in China. You rucky rucky man.
