  1. Yes, folks, it is open!
  2. Told today at Grove Vale library that Dulwich is now open!! Haven't been to check personally.
  3. Bunch of keys on the wall of the doctors in CP Rd. Have a Lego figure on them as well
  4. Is it any better anywhere else? I would have said the practice on Crystal palace Rd was better until I tried yesterday. Had to shout my symptoms through an answerphone in the porch(my hearing isn't too good) while people queued in the rain behind me. Told to ring 111. Did that, told to go to Kings and wasted a morning, not too important in my case but also wasted everyone's time at Kings. Was told by as understandably peeved doctor that this was the sort of thing GPs should sort out, not overburden an already stretched casualty dept.
  5. Obvious that Southwark is just delaying opening to save money
  6. Perhaps it's the books that are the problem? Clear them all out then there's be plenty of room to walk round safely.
  7. Yes, I can recommend Andy too as someone who's prepared to make that little bit more effort with a problem
  8. When is Dulwich library going to fully open?
  9. Am I right in thinking you still can't use Dulwich Library to browse i? If this is right, whenever are they going to open t? Perhaps Southwark is hoping to keep it closed.
  10. A wren hopping about in the bushes by Sainsburys this morning
  11. Completely agree. Bring back the buses. This is just driving trade to supermarkets with carparks.
  12. Post left on porch on Saturday
  13. If one, why not everyone?
  14. Grove Vale and Peckham are open as normal, melanieF, and I think Camberwell too. You have to fill in a slip with contact details before entry, that's all. Last time I checked Dulwich was only open for returns and click/collect.
  15. Enormous queue this morning, didn't get i till around 10.45. Good for clothes, not much in the way of household/books/antiques
  16. Life would be very awkward if every shop and cafe in ED decided they owned the pavement too
  17. While it's great to be able to wander round Peckham/Grove Vale (I seem to remember there used to be a library in Dulwich) I've been disappointed that I can't find any of the books that came out during lockdown and I was looking forward to reading. OK, yes I know it's a public library and they might have been borrowed, but the stcck looks very much the same as it did before. I suspect Southwark had cut down the spending on new stock. And I agree with ITATM, it's a very unsatisfactory explanation about Dulwich.
  18. It's not so much the crowds of people I'm finding annoying, it's the very crowded aisles. There are so many staff packing bags and also large containers of empty boxes, that any shopper can hardly make their way through
  19. Years ago Dulwich was one, if not the, best libraries in Southwark. Those were the days.
  20. Just been to Dulwich(10am) what a waste of time. Only open to hand books in or specify something and they'll bring it if they have it. No chAnce of just using it like a library. Lots of staff just standing around. They said Grove Vale and Nunhead are open. Went to Grove Vale, friendly and helpful staff but obviously no new books since I gave up using GV as I'd read all the stock there that I wanted to read.
  21. The last two days I've been getting calls from someone saying they're my credit card provider and asking me to answer various security questions. When I asked them Why, they couldn't answer, so naturally I put the phone down. It turns out they were from my credit card, but Owing to Data Retrieval Laws they couldn't tell me why they were calling! Surely this is daft? I'm supposed to give total strangers my details in this day and age? So an hour on the phone later, it's sorted when it could have been answered first time.
  22. Anyone know when they're opening.? Nothing on the website
  23. No post for nearly two weeks
