  1. There was an option to get permit parking for Melbourne Grove a few years back. At the time, I gladly signed up. After hearing nothing for 6 months, I followed it up and was told the votes for it were marginal. The Station side of MG usually has loads of spaces on the weekend, either everyone takes their cars away for the weekend or the residents of MG between them don't have many cars thus being the designated station car park during the week. Personally, if I were travelling from wherever to use ED station, I would park on St Francis road - it's closer. Give it a try.
  2. I went up there around 7:30pm and the place was dead.

I was in Drake House and we lost at everything. Mr Samaroo and Walsh were good motivators. Ms Levens threatened to expel me no fewer than 5 times in 5 years - and I was one of the good ones! RE teachers were hot. Mr Richardson was a good laugh and made history fun. Drove past the school recently and didn't recognise it.
  4. Wheelbarrow + cash = bread Just as well they're not printing, buying shares in banks is a much better alternative. Good article.
  5. Fair point. I think with the increasing number of players that have a tendency to claim catches when the ball has bounced or stay at the crease when they know they have nicked the ball, it might reduce the number of players trying their luck. I don't know if the batting side can make referrals? If they can't it would probably be a bad idea as it will only add to the pressure on the batsmen.
  6. At least we won't get captains, players, coaches and fans complaining about decisions that went against them.
  7. Vanessa Feltz - Yes, I have issues. Fern Britton - Pre gastric band as she looked happier then. Sarah Palin - good one. Also some of the women on that ITV lunch time thing where they debabte stuff. Some of them are complete and utter dragons though.
  8. p.s. Their forefathers (like mine) wuuld have fought, and sometimes, died for this Country (I lost 3 Uncles myself) and now their descendents mostly can't get a Government assuisted place of their own and yet some others with no previous allegiance to this Country or its peoples and having paid nothing into our system by way of Taxes can and do! Don't know what the fuss is about myself! Not strictly true, depends how far you wanna go back and the state that some of the countries were in when given their independence. You'll be surprised at how much involvement some other countries had in building the British Empire.
  9. Who is the guy authorising this at the council? Can he/she not make a common sense decision? Its all tick boxes with those guys.

  11. The Honeywood File: An Adventure in Building. Written in the 20's so a lot of that old school humor.
  12. Good idea! The time I spend printing off / editing will result in cost to my boss tho :))
  13. LL Somerfields is going down the pan anyway. Most of the people that read this forum don't even shop there. I would treat the original post by Sue as a heads up generally, so take the advice and be more mindful everywhere you shop.
  14. SMG - not so much practicing any more (bad habbits etc.), but still have firm beliefs in Christianity and its teachings. "The question I can never come close to answering is - "why would there be anything else"?" - It depends on how you think the human race was created. Another factor is the existence of God or a greater being. I reckon life on earth is a test (exam if you like) and simply put - depending on how you live your life on earth determines where you end up after death.
  15. I believe in life after death. Heaven / Hell - the whole Christian scenario.
  16. VeryBerryCherry Wrote: > All I was trying to point out, was that there are > as many benefits to having kids as to not. Each to > their own. You contradict yourself again? So why the abuse? I honestly don't get it. This highlights a point that I initially didn't see when positing originally. People that don't have kids, whatever their age, can only make assumptions or express opinions on this subject. This does not mean that people with differing views should start frothing at the mouth, jumping up and down and writing all kinds of abuse at someone when they see something they don't agree with. This leads me to my next point - this is a forum and opinions will be expressed which may sound totally crazy to someone else, but instead of attacking someone and building up a crazy picture (i.e. sanctimonious perch - are you for real?) try questioning someone's points constructively. You'll get a much better understanding. Finally - I made a point that a few people took as a personal attack on themselves. I never implied ONCE that not having kids was a bad thing or 'not proper'. It's a lifestyle that I personally thought would be boring.
  17. Yeah, quite right I wouldn't know. I'm only thinking about it. The people that get annoyed with comments like my earlier post tend to be the ones that contradict themselves by having a pop - some deeper issues there. Cassius - "Some people just simply cannot accept that others are different to them" - I'm obviously different to you - ACCEPT IT. Cassius - ?and what about people who CAN'T have children - you've basically damned them for a physical fault? ? Stop jumping to conclusions, I didn?t damn anyone, the only thing that?s damned is your mind for coming up with the daftest accusations. Jah Lush ? ?How the @#$%& would you know??? So what?s your point? Do you have kids? If not, then HOW THE @#$%& WOULD YOU KNOW? VeryBerryCherry ? ?It sounds like heaven on earth. Imagine..............of it? I personally would plan well in advance if I were to have kids. I most certainly would not take the selfish attitude you have, It?s all me me me bull. When you have kids you have to be willing to make sacrifices and I'm sure having kids is more rewarding than having a good old pissup everyweek when i'm 43.
  18. Life after 30 would be boring without kids. At least when you have kids you got something to live/work for. Being with someone for 40 years with nothing to pass on or leave sounds tragic.
  19. Can't be bothered to wait for another arranged event. Let's all just save time and do EDF Internet dating. I have MSN :))

Point taken, but I thought the solicitors dealt with drawing up contracts and the like? I wouldn't expect an estate agent to know what constitutes a contract let alone the contents.

Firstly, I would hate think what your lodger would do if you asked her to turn the TV off :/ If it was reversed, you would be known as a woman beater even if she did need a good clout. I reckon most blokes would be too scared to admit they were pummelled by a woman and therefore suffer in silence.
