  1. Ah man, I renewed my last month. Another good tip I found was to try the sites that ask you what your lowest quote has been. Two years ago my best quote was ?850, I typed in ?750 and got a quote offer of ?749 and odd pence. They also have a field for previous no claims bonus years - but I don't know if they take this into account when calculating the premium.
  2. He teamed up with Davey Boy. Now it all makes sense.
  3. Although I'm sad to see it on the "hit list", im glad there are other offices within walking distance.
  4. I would rather no statue was put up and the cost saving offset against my council tax. If they were to put a statue up I wouldn't be too fussed - I can think of several things the Council wastes money on. And NO - Ronnie Biggs would not be a better suggestion for a statue... As for the farce going on now - Al Fayed has clearly been misinformed. He is also reacting angrily to things that have gone against him - who can blame him?
  5. A bloke called Shirley? He must have had a tough time at school...
  6. Who is outside Melbourne Grove? and who is Shirley Crabtree?
  7. Dwayne can go long jump himself off a cliff. Drug taking shouldn't be allowed in any sport apart from fake wrestling! If you can't compete fairly, don't - especially in athlectics as people train for years. It's like a tough exam I had a few months ago. During the exam some nut got a piece of paper out and was reading it (quite skillfully). He then asked to go to the bog and came back writing like there was no tomorrow. That really annoyed me as some of us spent weeks revising, trying to get our qualifications while others waltz through.
  8. Was good to see Zippy and George again.
  9. 1. Save yourself some money and tell the unqualified engineers to stay home. 2. Get SKY. 3. Watch Cricket all year round.
  10. There are several hotspots for a factory in Camberwell. My guess is by the Magistrates court where "Mr Kipling" has his factory now.
  11. Snorky You freak. I didn't say I didn't want people coming in and sharing the worthless stuff on LL (all I use is the bank). I just said I want them to have ample parking so that they don't spill onto Melbourne Grove. You obviously have a few issues to get off your chest, and instead of reading what I put, you read what you wanted to see. I don't even know which comment you're talking about. If we have things done your way "How do we keep them out" - then I sadly can't take part as it would mean I (YES ME BEING OF COLOUR) would have to leave ED to meet your cleanup requirements. WTF are you on Snorky?
  12. That picture makes ED look tropical ;-). Shame they didn't add the tyre shop over the road into it. Would have made it more realistic. 22 Flats - I hope they provide ample parking. IF they don't, it's us on Melbourne Grove who will suffer. Like we don't get bummed already. Somebody pass me some cream...
  13. But then it went back to being FULL of prententious middle class @#$%& driving 4x4's, poncey shops, restaurants and Estate agents. I wish I was wise.
  14. To be honest, I prefer going outside. I hate inhaling other peoples smoke, and that's one thing I don't miss since the smoking ban in pubs and clubs came in.
  15. ?30!!!!!!?? You got ripped off.
  16. The guy from the BBC childrens programme "What's that noise?" in the late 80's early 90's. He was a true genius.
  17. You probably just need him to get thinking about it. Throw the old one away and say the brush was being overused and you're going to get a new one as soon as you possibly can. Another way could be to tell him a joke about using a toilet brush.
  18. Had problems getting a cab from Kings Cross once, feeling quite ill and not in the mood for TFL. After waiting in a long queue, I was finally front in line. Three cabs refused to go to East Dulwich Station. Two of them looked as though they didn't know where ED was, the third quite rudely looked to the person next in the queue. The fourth one reluctantly took me to ED, (taking the longest possible route) even though he saw the previous two drivers refusing. I gave him a good tip - which put a smile on his face.

Yeah it does, how do you think they become commercially successful? - and yeah Phil Collins solo is as creative as his Genesis stuff... Blinder999 - yeah but some of the opinions are a bit daft and obvious personal choices hence me chosing singers I don't necessarilly like but rate as creative.
  20. Talk about biased selections. I'm not a great fan of Stevie Wonder, Phil Collins, Michael McDonald or Prince but those 4 are really creative.

That would be seen "unKool" surely, especially if it was public. It was outlawed long before I started school, but my tutor (bless him) threatened to "leagalise it within the school walls if required".
  22. My parents never allowed me to have a TV in my room until I was 19 and that was when I had enough money to buy it myself, therefore saving them from having to shell out. My dad preferred it if he could "keep an eye" on what I watched. That didn't stop me from using boring football highlights as an excuse for a bit of late night TV.
