  1. LoL! You can tell what they mean so I personally wouldn't worry too much about it.
  2. You should be checking you get your cash back everywhere! Personally I always hold my hand out and don't leave / smile till I get the cash in my hand and count it.
  3. Well pointed out Huguenot. So true, yet people often forget these things.
  4. Levels 60-70 in WoW were repetitive and long - put me off WoW for life :-S. Probably a good thing though.
  5. What more could kids learn in RE about Humanism than they could about Atheism which is already covered in great detail in the subject?
  6. OK, I didn't think there could be any descrimination for not believing in something, especially with religion as there are so many of them. I can't see how it can interfere with a job interview. From what I've read on here, the only difference I see between Atheism and Humanism is Humanism has better ceremonies. Where an Atheist would probably be cremated, a Humanist has a more lavish send off with bespoke scripts?
  7. I didn't know what Humanism was until I read this thread - and no, it's not ticking any of my boxes. I just cant figure out if it's a social group or a cult :-S
  8. It can sometimes depend on who is behind the counter. Maybe the duffer didn't know the manual way of ordering a cheque book? - which seems to be the case where computerised systems have come in and replaced manual processes like the Post Office for example. As for cheque books, i've never really got into using them, when I signed up for my account Internet banking seemed to be the way forward. I avoid going into my bank as it means taking time off work or facing long queues at lunch time.
  9. I always have trouble getting cash from my bank - mainly because there is nothing in there to take out.
  10. I've learnt loads from my parents. I pretty much know what not to do with my kids. Religion, alcohol and discipline made a very confusing childhood.
  11. Probably not with the current market situation - but I wouldn't want to sell. Certainly not with my newly increased cashflow.
  12. I'll be honest - If I had a Victorian house and ?80k lying around, that house would be 2 flats within 8 weeks.
  13. Timings for buses? I didn't think there was such a thing. Every bus I get seems to come at a random time.
  14. Sounds like a good idea. I bet some parents would have serious issues with that though. I went to a Comprehensive school.
  15. My parents sent me to an all boys school to stop ME getting distracted by girls! If anything, it worked so well that it took me some time before I could communicate with other girls again and thus focus on my studies. I don't think having all Black schools would work. If anything, it will just shelter the students from other cultures and then you get this faith school effect where they only mix with people of similar beliefs / morals etc. There is a distinct lack of role models outside of sport / Music for the ethnic minority groups. If there are no role models at home or in the family, you'll find boys will do just want they want to do whether it's good or bad. Some schools are good at countering this - with one to one tutoring, boys can excel girls as they stay focused.
  16. Petty annoyances at work: People that shout abusive language at their moniters People that hum and skip around the office because they're just about to go on annual leave for 3 months People that do an alarming drum roll on their desk every few minutes

Tapes!? Gosh, one would need to plan some time in advance for that.
  18. Men who sit with legs wide apart - no matter how big or small, its very uncomfortable to close legs together squashing the furniture, especially on train seats. Why do women like to keep their legs closed?
  19. Loading times on computer games People invading my personal space on the train / bus when there is plenty of room People who stop to look around or regroup themselves like they've been on a long distance journey at the end of the escalator People who block the doorway on the bus / Train (for some reason doesn't happen so much on tube) Crappy loud music from phones / people who shout when they're right next to each other People who can't drive but somehow end up behind a wheel Cyclists Architects

Racism and homophobia need to be confronted and not dismissed as something being blown out of proportion as so often happens (See quote for example). In all my ignorance as a schoolboy - following the cool crowd (or at least trying to), I only realised how hurtful and nasty it could be to use the word 'gay' to describe someone as inferior when it struck a direct relationship with the racism I had been experiencing.
  21. Nah - hes got it right, he obviously has morals and theres nothing wrong with that. Sex is meant to be special. Not some kind of thing you do just to satisfy yourself or try to impress someone with.
  22. Try informing the Maudsley first. I should think they will be able to help you.
  23. Get over it mate. You're better off without someone who would have the willingness to cheat. As for the the Stud neighbour, cheer yourself up by p!ss!ng in his windscreen fluid tank.
  24. I don't trust BETA versions. Will give it a go when it's been fully tested.
