  1. A shop full of? Little plastic boxes with small amounts over processed over priced ?Food? A British take on some Japanese shops only in Japan it tastes great and is priced (in local terms) reasonably. You know it?s wrong when the packaging costs more than the product. http://www.designer-daily.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/waitrose.jpg

  7. I'll quote a good friend who works opposite Kings College Hospital. "If you are surrounded by madness you really need a good sense of humour"
  8. Another option we could look at. http://www.weirdthings.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/double-parking-nightmare.jpg and another http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_y8qhm316y84/Re3j3LDt5bI/AAAAAAAAAFk/BGy_rk1KTFU/s400/car-parking.jpg
  9. I've got the alternative.. An RPA Residents Parking Areas It would involve residents only being permited to park in other streets not their own. Non residents would be able to park anywhere they liked Lets get some support for this? Do I hear any objections to an RPA? It?ll work I?m convinced, I know I?m a dreamer and my dreams might be other?s nightmares. But hey ?.. You can?t knock a good idea . Don?t go calling it a Right Prats Alternative ok?.

  11. Would you all stop talking politics and other B??$s It?s obvious you have NO solution for the actual problems. So you talk nonsense?
  12. No I was not there not my bag, I don't like being around illogical people. It just makes me angry seeing people without a brain getting so upset. http://gtalfaromeo.co.uk/images/NOvote.jpg Why do people vote against their own interests? Apparently ?The ultimate sin in modern politics is appearing to take the voters for granted. This is a culture war but it is not simply being driven by differences over abortion, or religion, or patriotism. And it is not simply Red states vs. Blue states any more. It is a war on the entire political culture, on the arrogance of politicians, on their slipperiness and lack of principle, on their endless deal making and compromises. And when the politicians say to the people protesting: 'But we're doing this for you', that just makes it worse. In fact, that seems to be what makes them angriest of all.?
  13. Had James voted against I would 100% have accepted his decision and maintained my respect for him. The fact he didn?t abstain is proof enough he?s a man of conviction. A number of comments above show the illogical mentality of those who fought like headless chickens against the CPZ with zero respect for their neighbours or anyone else who happens to see things differently, just spouting poisonous blinkered comments. Pathetic individuals who want to make the world a better place by saying no to change. Very sad face of democracy.
  14. We got Number 2 http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_lYENdXKR_LA/S6YNZ6QjEFI/AAAAAAAAFFk/S_xZG5TNMMY/s400/turkeys+UKIP+VOTING+FOR+CHRISTMAS.jpg

Meanwhile all the poorer residents who > can't justify ?125 for a permit park in the next Yes It's proper rip off !!!!! 35p a day for a permit????????. There are so many car owners living on the breadline around the station it a right disgrace!
  20. Siduhe I don?t think the 44 complaints mean much either. The locals only have them/our selves to blame and so the decision will be taken by the elected local politicians. That's democracy in action. Southwark could run another ?85,000 consultaion. A 2.1 out of 10 response rate = meaningless An independent parking survey could be carried out but at what cost when we are all aware there is a parking problem in many streets.
  21. Peckhampam Can / has that been shown by a Parking Survey? Penguin68 This has nothing to do with politics it about parking. We?re not talking about bringing back hanging (there?s huge public support for that) it's a CPZ Controlled Parking Zone. Part of the evolution of the civilized we?re not in Jungle we?re in one of the worlds mega cities and so we have little choice but to be organised and ration what we have.
  22. Indeed.... it should be so... but it's a touch more complicated than that....... As has been mentioned time and time again the response rate of the consultation was so low it can't (by anyone with a brain) be taken to represent anything other than a failure to produce any credible results. Ergo.... the numbers quoted are meaningless.
  23. Peckhamgatecrasher Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Out of interest, why is Oakhurst Grove a > conversation area? It's not particularly > remarkable or pretty. To keep the Southwark planning department busy ...
  24. Loz Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Errr, the surrounding streets *are* streets near > the station. Ah Genius, That could be true but the consultation results are completely flawed by the poor response rate and as such they mean nothing?.. zero zip nish?.. nada? It only shows a small %age of the story and none of the detail. Southwark should have use a divining rod... or picked some numbers out of a hat.
  25. All you need to know about Democracy is that it?s not perfect but it?s the best this we've come up with. Much like a CPZ ????..
