  1. Who cares about surrounding streets? Do they give a damn about the streets near the station? errr nope.
  2. Toffeapple It sounds like a better solution would be for you to have secondary glazing installed a lot cheaper and with the bigger air gap it would cut down on the sound far better than any of the other options. Otherwise wood replacement Now that the whole of East Dulwich knows you'll probably get a visit from the Gestapo planning department if you install upvc... Even if you had a house in a conservation area the permitted development rights would not cover the windows. WelshRich Is only making the issue more confusing ?. 3. Can you use the results of the consultation? There response rate was so low it makes the results laughable. The people are especially odd not the streets?.. Too many cars due to too many properties may be part of the problem but there is no solution for that is there? Though a CPZ would have some impact. Make the streets less attractive are you joking? Dead end streets are you kidding? Such flimsy flaky ideas would be a waste of money. Until a genius comes up with a better system All over the civilised World in one shape or other the solution, Has, Is and Can only be a CPZ?.

  5. Trying to understand the reasons for objecting to this CPZ? Anyone with a brain and an ounce of logic can see that the resident?s / neighbours suffer from commuter parking both from the Station and from local workers. Who will also be able to pay for a permit. It?s not rocket science Train Stations = Parking Problem. Most areas which have this problem end up with a CPZ as it?s the only way to control the problem. There is no other solution. Any neighbour who objects to this CPZ is either a halfwit (concerned about Southwark milking its ?125 fee) a commuter (Inc local business) or they have more concern for neighbours four streets away than for the ones who live next-door. I just don?t get it makes no sense ?.
  6. If you ask Southwark planning anything they always say pay us a nice fee, they are a bunch of idiots can't give a straight answer to any question without submitting a planning application! The Southwark Planning department is full of incompetent cretins!!!!!! I just looked up my receipt I used http://www.premierwindows.ltd.uk/ they did the best upvc and wood sash windows for the price at the time. For wood I paid ?800 inclusive of fitting per window, in a bay I guess you?ll have a minimum of 4 so it works out quite expensive. I did have one upvc at the rear wish I?d paid the extra for the wood.
  7. :) Ah yes I have.... My current Fav's are. The Palmerston "excellent but expensive" Ganapati Lorenzo's and Si Mangia for Italian. The Prince Regent Dulwich Road Herne Hill great Pub with excellent food. Mr Liu for takeaway Chinese, though the last one wasn?t that great ?. I?m looking for a Chinese recommendation anyone ? Thai Corner Cafe but they're slipping a little and prices now HIGH. There are others but I end up going to the above most weeks when I'm in the UK and don?t fancy doning a chefs hat.

  9. Beauberry House changed its name from Belair House I wonder why? I personally got serious food poisoning from Belair House it put me in bed for 3 days! Reported it to Southwark never had any news back.?
  10. How is 15% Twice 26% ??? it's nearer 1/2... :) ;) I give up //////
  11. I'm exasperated by DJKillaQueen's inability to accept that a no vote has been definitively expressed by no more than 15% of residents. + Gooooaaaaalllllll !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Milk it's aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa waste of time. They don?t get it that?s how Labour ruined our economy and put us and our future grandchildren in debt. And they'll do it again .... Incompetent illogical mathematics all over the shop?? http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,772215,page=42
  13. Marmora Man Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > It has always amazed me that Dulwich village > itself has such lousy eateries. Let?s look at what there is ?. Crocka watery dudu, Pedigree Dog garbage, Pizza Express ?the best of a bad lot? and a Cafe Rubbish. My theory WAS it?s the Water ? in the village. But I think it?s the customers in their ignorance they?ll eat just about anything. If they knew good food then that lot would be out of business. The Dulwich Estate Freeholder has a lot to blame as quality family owned resturants owned resturants would never pass the Lease requirments unless they paid a higher rent and that would just kill they wouldn?t be able make a profit. SO Village People + Dulwich Estate = C??P food.

It'd save > me (and my parents) a lot of grief... 1. Each get a Honda 600F or similar ... + bike licence if you don't have one. 2. Move closer. 3. Chopper from Battersea All routes out that way are bad. I?ve tried them all.
  15. Can't the existing box be refurbished? Better easier and cheaper to keep the box and install new double glazed sliders with heavier weights all in wood. If you're on the Ground floor the job would be easy and maintenance painting etc also easy. That UPVC stuff is rubbish looks nasty too.
  16. Annette I prefer the quality of abuse at Khans Indian Restaurant Bayswater I always score 10/10 there ?? And their food is excellent unlike Wong Kei?K Wong Kei just makes me laugh with all the R L confusion?K. Maybe the Dog could become the first trying to be .. Abuse Idiot Pub in the London ?K What am I saying it doesn??t need to try?K..
  17. Here is a FREE online POLL For the CPZ. Cost me nothing.... CPZ POLL
  18. Nope I was trying to insert some script for a CPZ Poll... I think this will work... Try this CPZ POLL
  19. And someone said it cost ?85,000?? With Southwark I?m not surprised. For that money they should have also had an online system using a couple of codes together with a text system to allow for a simple for or against vote too. Totally incompetent waste of our tax money!
  20. The response rate to the consultation was ridiculously low! I was away working in the Far East looks like many other resident were out there too! Bonkers how can anyone expect us to get a sensible level of support either way for that kind of response rate. Totally Bonkers!!!! Given such a low response rate I don't think anyone can realistically believe it?s suitable as an argument for or against. It?s nonsense.
  21. easytiger Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Residents and SSBA have been putting up posters > that you can find in windows, on lamp posts and > community notice boards (not any more because > Fazer has taken them down). Oh dear easytiger you?re a complete _ _ _ _ JB took them down, I don?t even know or care where the notice boards are! Cheers peckhamboy :)>:D<
  22. All the local business association cares about is That they and their staff can park their cars 5 seconds walk from their work?? They couldn?t give a toss about residents or customers. And that is a FACT !
