@ SJ yes I know - I only made the point to crowbar in the awful pun... but maybe you've hit on it - "Random Meat Burgers" Contains 100% Beef &/or Horse &/or Pork &/or Rabbit &/or lamb...etc

A lot of fuss considering it's a commonly eaten meat - but here I guess you can lead a horse to slaughter but you can't make it beef.

Damn - they were my favourites.

May I suggest missing out the odd verb in future posts to make up for it? *I am typing this with one finger and using one eye thus making a substantial saving.

This is a recent idea and a common misconception* - the flag was referred to as the Union Jack in the 17thC wherever it was flown. *like 'tomorrow is the 17th'...

But that's how it all works anyway Huge. What? You thought it was benevolence and/or charitable feelings that sees the 'haves' handing over their dosh? Nah mate, it's fear and the desire to keep the 'have-nots' away from the gate. All that's being debated is the price.
  10. The cross is fine but didn't you read the notice pal? "No Birds". (ditto: dragons, griffins, spaniels[bucks], horses' heads and sheep[you know who you are])
  11. If the Welsh were to be given a stake in the country's emblem (assuming they'd want one) the Cornish would probably want one too - we could end up with something a lot more colourful... http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcT0np91mh8XgwV9Dywns4Yel9UmfENo_lBhgYODdDkICFizm3Nx_w ...now what's the flag for Bermondsey...?

  13. Not The Lane cafe is it? It was being gutted today so doesn't fit in with "being finished..." or Threshers or photo shop nr Soup Dragon or florists or...
  14. I liked the whole "Grindhouse" release he did with Robert Rodriguez - particularly the fake trailers like "Werewolf Women of the SS" and "Machete" (which got a life of its own when it was later made into a real exploitation genre film). Loved his explanation of Uma Thurman's dancing in PF being inspired by the ZsaZsa Gabor character in Disney's "The Aristocats".
  15. Back to usual league form then *sighs and hopes Malumbu doesn't mock in the playground after double geog.* Putting Irons' gormless display down to 'one of those days', especially after the disappointment of van p's late goal the week before. Hope Potts doesn't take his error to heart too much - could see he was expecting goalkeeper to come and will learn from it. Still think team are short of fire-power. On a related note - albeit a petty one - I wasn't too bothered by WH's crappy "putting the X into Xmas" slogan (with the X represented by crossed hammers) but am finding the continued use of "Moore than just a football club" sticks right in my throat.

Sons of Anarchy is worth watching for the hilarious Irish/provos/Gangster/Drug smuggler/Arms dealer thing - the American view of NI. Other than that it's another re-jigged western.

  22. There's a cross of St David too, making an update/combo of all four patron saints crosses look maybe something like- http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRhow0sxKRDuE7HTHk79c92nvkzuYBDr2z7MtF9AH3T-Rx4Ec6Z9w ... ooooh, there's jazzy for you man!

Undecided by the low-key vid... mixture of anticipation and slight dread... late Lennon or later McCartney? Sophisticated and mature or the singing equivalent of Dad dancing?
  24. No but I did see that Billie Piper girly on Graham Norton and she seemed to have a biscuit crumb stuck to her upper gum so frantically was she massaging it with her tongue. Poor lass.
  25. A real cup competition in that the bottom three in the EDF predictor league are the current top three in the cup prediction stakes - - obviously (and a prime example of how little respect the poor old FA Cup gets these days) the big names in the EDFPL were resting their best guesses for the resumption of Premiership games. Poor results may see a change of tactics for the 4th round. B)
