Latin infinitives can't be split as they're are one word (usually? always?) but if an English Germanic-Latin mongrel CAN be split then surely it should wallow like a badly made B?arnaise (where the accent, although on the e is always on the aise). Capello knows he has messed up (not in the Terry-captaincy issue but simply as a coach) and was looking for a way out so he would not be blamed when it goes tits up at the Euros. It's the managerial equivalent of a player going down in the box "looking for it". Harry should stay where he is and not even consider England until after the Euros - appoint a caretaker manager for now (Brooking?) - He needs to start with a clean slate as England boss and start from scratch at the beginning of a campaign not try and clean up someone else's mess.

Have always found snap-traps baited with dried fruit work but: you should remember to change the fruit regularly as it won't attract mice once stale, and place the trap at right angles up against the skirting as this is a house mouse's usual route around a room.

You're right disgrace is pushing it - but he needs to distinguish between his usual withering, belittling, condescending manner to anyone who has the temerity to interview him after a game or dares criticise any of his players - and something as nasty, and with as much potential to do harm, as this. A great player is how he will be remembered but there's a danger that when this is discussed in later years there will be a coughing and a shuffling of feet and a changing of topic.
