  1. Some would say have said that booing was acceptable as long as it didn't become racist abuse- "They have a responsibility to support the team, to boo the opposition, to try and put the opposition off in a fair and legal way, and that is what I expect from both Liverpool and Manchester United fans on Saturday. As long as there are no racist connotations towards their abuse, then I don?t see a problem." John Barnes in the Liverpool Echo

  7. Jelavic bid turned down according to McCoist - QPR, Fulham and Liverpool also in the frame for him.

  9. I think - as the pronunciation is Dul-itch that Itch Village would be more accurate. Itch is usually defined as a sensation causing the desire to scratch but it is also true that Itch has resisted many attempts to classify it as any one type of sensory experience. (Wiki). So we have it. A village that refuses to be classified as having only one annoying property and yet causes pimp and parson, sinner and saint, to feel uncomfortable and desire to be shot of it. In contrast East Dulwich, West Dulwich etc. (or following Nette's nullifying of 'Dul') are preferable. Who wouldn't tolerate an East or West Itch rather than one smack bang in the Village?
  10. I think the result will be the usual fudge - you can almost hear the summing up: "Whilst it is clear that there were monies undeclared that should have been declared, and that the full facts of Mr Redknapp's accounts were not disclosed at the time of the initial investigation, it is far from certain that he himself was aware at the time that what he was doing constituted an offence and that there are a significant number of obfuscating factors and contradictory statements on both sides that only serve to make any decisive verdict in the case of the accused subject to opinion and hearsay and therefore nigh on impossible to reach. This court recommends the due taxes be paid with interest and Mr Redknapp not be allowed to benefit from the sales or purchase of players in the future."
  11. As it's the bicentennial of his birth I too am just about to read a Dickens, (not read one for ages)..Hard Times (seems somehow apt). Just finished 'Morning Everyone' by Simon Hughes - a good read if you like cricket/cricket commentators.
  12. I think Harry has a cast iron defence and will bring in a noted animal psychologist to prove the dog did it.
  13. He did but that's not binding - all he had to say in court was that he was lying to the cyclist or that he misheard the cyclist and thought he asked "did you just threaten to kiss me".

Rumours that two prominent members of the SFA (Sydenham Forum Association)were to be parachuted in to save it proved unfounded and as Mockney's status is Tevez-like in its uncertainty and possibilities all relegation/promotion issues have been postponed for a season. *There has naturally been a 9 point deduction for presumptuousness and TWOC-ing*
  15. I claim the trophy on behalf or guerilla raiders from the "Life outside the Premiership" thread. I also accept relegation to the Nunhead and Sydenham Southern Forum but swear we will be back.

  19. Apparently it's not been the success the franchisee had hoped and so he's changing it to a PAPA MURPHY'S (because Take'n'Bake Pizza is the coming thing) http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSelybNahHWtjUwKz77sKjY4vjt0RveMhRZ7ZdrggL2aF9M3Ec3 ... and he plans to advertise with this........ http://media.courierpress.com/media/img/photos/2010/11/19/20101119-235048-pic-552362643_t607.jpg

  22. There are a few things wrong with it. Bradley Walsh, Paul Nicholls, Harriet Walter, Dominic Rowan, Freema Agyeman and Peter Davison. I think KudosTV used all their money and talent on finishing Spooks and Hustle.

The special system where you have to take all the spoons out so it doesn't splash back when you're taking a leak?

Could be worse - Good to see Gold come out and say that the way things stand the pitch would be too far away from the fans if The Irons moved to the Olympic Stadium - let the Os have it.
