Balotelli stamp WAS deliberate and he should have gone as should Lescott. BUT Oxlade-Chamberlain was a real revelation. In the "getting-ridiculously-way-ahead-of-ourselves" dept. just three things... 1. I can't wait to see Oxlade-Chamberlain playing alongside Rooney in an England shirt (well, I did say...) 2. How do Southampton keep producing such talent? 3. Have gooners decided on a moniker yet? (Oxy? Ox-Lad? Oxer? Ox? O.C?)

they don't seem to have done a very good job hiding the invisible parachute either

Exactly! And with wind-shift surely... http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcT64bvZTta0cZAwnBcrlt7VjloO4sbwGF6F0tHTj6JEJMWIcAHNIg + http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRevJMOgBclkCzIpoykCNV1Ku05MY3g65QaZ227z-RUt49h63PDpw > http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2012/01/17/article-2087814-0F8035B200000578-692_634x396.jpg OR A spherical teardrop of mass m, radius r, vertical velocity v (positive downward), and mass density ρd ≈ 1 g cm−3 satisfies m = 4 3 πρdr3 (1) dm dt = πρmr2|v| (2) m dv dt = mg − C 2 πρar2v|v| − v dm dt (3) where the terms on the right-hand side of equation (3) give the weight, air drag, and mist drag acting on the growing drop. When the air drag is written as above, the drag coefficient C = C® is a function only of the Reynolds number [6, 7] R = 2r|v|/ν, where ν is the kinematic viscosity of air. Figure 1 shows C® measured for falling liquid drops (data points, [8]), together with the small-R theoretical Stokes result C = 24/R (broken line, [6]) and a new empirical result (full line), C = 12R−1/2 (4) valid over the intermediate range 10 < R < 1000. Such simple algebraic results allow us to avoid complicated numerical results for C® obtained from the nonlinear Navier?Stokes equations [7]. Inserting equation (4) into equation (3) and setting dm/dt = dv/dt = 0 yields the mist-free terminal or ?settling? speed of drops of radius r with 10 < R < 1000: v0 = σr (5)

So now that over priced tat shabby-chic shop Old Villa has two branches is it a charming independent or a burgeoning chain? Just asking.

Nice idea but from that height one mild gust of wind (such as are constantly in evidence around tall buildings) and his tears would be splashing several feet away from where his inevitably mangled corpse would land.

Dear computedshorty. Please let me entreat you to have no dealings with the Nairobi royal family as they are well known shysters and cads. I and my extended family represent the entirely fantastic and legendary (not to say not unentirely fictional) province of Zimmer-Babwe and we would welcome you to our bank where you may receive notional interest and your own Bank-Of-Zimmer-Babwe parking space (kryptonite zimmer-lock extra). Huguenot Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > You've tried Zovirax? Get other brands of the same cream for less money - as long as it contains acyclovir it will work. Most pharmacies will sell an own-brand version. Farmers (next to locksmith on LL) sells a cheaper version of Zovirax in little tubes near the till. Have also used this kind of device electronic cold sore zapper with success - worth bearing in mind for the long run.

The good (?!) thing is that it's obviously a slack/stale/tired/rusty approach and careless execution - Boycott was right, rather than being got out they got themselves out. *mumbles something about hitting that with a stick of rhubarb*

well gamerr is selling it - be quick! gamerr's thing

Tfl will probably pay with a smile as they finalise their plans for fully automated driverless tube trains. driverless trains - BBC

Waitrose or M&S TYPE supermarket - do we want one on LL?
maxxi replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
A cable car fom the top of LL hill to the Shard. Just for the ride. -
First Molly and now Watson... there are more holes in this thread than in the England batting

Come, come - not a bad recovery. There have been many (many) worse first days. I suggest a little light banging-head-off-a-door-jamb or singeing of peripheral hair. Then - on realising that Monty wasn't in fact playing - despite performing well in the warm ups - and that Swann has been flinging flans recently - sellotape head to door jamb and ask partner to slam door.

I bet he offers free broadband too - as long as you're in 'chime' range.
