  1. Si Mangia on Forest Hill Rd seemed to have nailed the bog standard Italian local. I don't use it but I know loads who love it and go back and back.
  2. For once I agree with DF. We all know what's coming there anyway. In five years it'll be so long nail bar, hello Pizza Express.
  3. A couple of years ago I had a leg injury that required some regular specialist dressings by a nurse. A&E at Kings said just ring your GP and fix up a few nurse appointments. I called the DMC and they had no appointments for two weeks. So I had to go to the Lister who didn't have the correct dressings so she had to bodge it. Then I went to the Bart's walk in clinic who gave me a supply of the correct dressings to take with me. After that I just taught myself to do it.

  5. I have emailed them too.
  6. It's just run very badly. They need to be put into special measures like a failing school.
  7. Has anyone eaten in at Burro e Salvia yet?
  8. Sounds like you need to get your MP on the case. Although my family are all registered a DMC we seem to mostly end up at Lister or Seldoc. I wish it was like the old days when you had a family GP who knew you.
  9. They are absolute rubbish. There's no care for patients at all. There's no continuity of care. I'm really sick of them. It's better to be sick at the weekend and get seen by Seldoc.
  10. Sorry Jeremy. Think I was feeling a bit cross today.
  11. Considering JJMB's got a crap name and overpriced stock Laura Tenison seems to have got herself an MBE and a business turnover of ?44m (not just the ED shop). Obviously she doesn't know what she's doing.

  13. That is good news. Almost anything would be better than the eyesore that's there now. A little local French restaurant would be great.
  14. Hold on to you hats everyone. Word on the street is it's going to be..... An estate agent. Yayyyy.
  15. It's a good place for a restaurant if the space is big enough.
  16. Victus and Bibo sounds promising. I work really near their Farringdon stall. I was in Wimbledon the other day and there were quite a few Lebanese places. Can't beat a good wrap and salad sometimes.
  17. It's quite fun to make yourself. Also on linguini setting the machine doubles as a document shredder.
  18. I bought some gnocchi to take away from Burro and Salvia yesterday. Very nice it was too. The restaurant isn't open until the end of the month but it's looking good so far.

  21. Thanks all. I'll have a look at these routes in more detail later. I'll probably mostly use my Brompton as far as Tulse Hill and hop on the train from there.
  22. Does anyone commute to Wimbledon by bike? I'd like to avoid the South Circular as much as possible.
  23. Thanks for the tip. Never tried the Florence but it looks good.
