  1. Sad and depressing.
  2. The OP's account of life at St John's is very different to my experience in the 1970's. It was a lovely place to be and I have nothing but happy memories.
  3. Bastards. T Cut won't put paint back. A job for the garage I'm sorry to say.
  4. Depends what you want. If you're a young Australian, Clapham is perfect. It doesn't do much for me.
  5. Grotty!!
  6. I think there's something a bit unpleasant seeing parents swigging from beer cans in a playground.
  7. I thought I saw him there on Saturday.
  8. It's disgusting. I agree, just don't accept bookings from people who don't clean up.

Good times. My son really enjoyed his first proper power cut last night too.

  11. I thought they might be something to do with the flood prevention works (philistine red face).
  12. The cinema will last a year. Maybe you'd better open a Words restaurant DF?
  13. There's no pub within a huge radius. You'd have thought it would stand a chance if done right.

  15. It might slow buses down for a little while whilst work is being done and it might save a life or two. So not insane at all.
  16. Looks good. Competitive pricing structure.
  17. Do the NHS have the power to take over the running of a surgery if that surgery in incapable of managing itself? It sounds like the medical staff are fine. But the administration is pathetic.
  18. I complained but got an automated reply to say that the first port of call is to complain the the practise.
  19. I suppose if you could get planning there are plenty of much nicer prefab houses you could put on the plot.
  20. Si Mangia on Forest Hill Rd seemed to have nailed the bog standard Italian local. I don't use it but I know loads who love it and go back and back.
  21. For once I agree with DF. We all know what's coming there anyway. In five years it'll be so long nail bar, hello Pizza Express.
  22. A couple of years ago I had a leg injury that required some regular specialist dressings by a nurse. A&E at Kings said just ring your GP and fix up a few nurse appointments. I called the DMC and they had no appointments for two weeks. So I had to go to the Lister who didn't have the correct dressings so she had to bodge it. Then I went to the Bart's walk in clinic who gave me a supply of the correct dressings to take with me. After that I just taught myself to do it.
