I know this has been said loads before.. But aren't most of the shops on LL too small for big chains to bother with? Wagamamma aren't going to take over the Irish shop. I can see Rye Lane going that way.
I've cycled that route for about six years at all times of day and night. The park seems a lot less threatening since it's makeover. The only incidents I've had were between Burgess Park and The Elephant. Two hooded youths ran into the road to try to push me off a few years ago, luckily they mistimed their run and missed me and I had stuff thrown at me from the old Heygate Estate Bridge.
A bit of pride in one's appearance is never a bad thing. See attached photo. First prize in Camberwell Council's competition for the smartest pre-fab garden in the borough has been awarded to Mr L.T.Jackson, of Friern Road, Dulwich. September 13th 1948. Compulsory Credit: UPPA/Photoshot
Virgin can be a bit frustrating. Fingers crossed it's been ok for a while. Also the time to fix faults is a lot faster than it used to be. All the suppliers seem to have their ups and downs. I keep meaning to do a broadband swap with my neighbours who are BT and Sky. Then if one of us is down we can do an emergency share of eachothers broadband.

The Rose is good. They do a nice pie and mash (Pie Minister pies). Apparently a good Sunday roast too although I've not tried that. I think it's a bit of an undiscovered gem. The current landlords seem really nice and putting a lot of effort in.
I agree. I've found this forum a really useful resource. I've found friends, a child minder, plumbers, gardeners, electricians and a mine of useful information. But I'm really tired of wading through all the crap.
It doesn't matter where it is. You've just made a thick, lame generalization about all cyclists based on one person who you saw. I'm doing the same about van drivers to prove how pointless it is.
So people leaving stinky food on the bus has driven the original poster onto the trains. But now kids playing with giant hairballs at the station is making life awkward. We still need a solution to the original problem.
