Hmmm...... people will hear what you say (post) but does that mean you expect them to then agree with you? I think that is a tad naive - and passive aggressive posts about not being listened to won't help either. Probably the best thing to do is to put forward an intelligent, reasoned stance/argument and let others make their own minds up. The way some descend into abuse (I am not suggesting that you have) is an automatic fail and their credibility disappears in a puff of hot air.

I've nowt against TUs - I am a member of one and in my current management position I work closely and collaboratively with them. I do think that the Aslef Union has overstepped the mark here though and gives Unions a bad name.

Theme from Taxi Driver and English Patient. Fabulous.

Bullying? Hardly. He talks a lot of sense.

Would agree with this - although I think there was an element of humiliation here in the name of entertainment that is akin to bullying in some ways. I feel sorry for all concerned in the event - what a terrible result :(

Coincidentally someone was raving about a product that gets rid of condensation on Virtual Norwood a couple of days ago: http://www.virtualnorwood.com/forum/topic/12529-condensation-on-windows-a-thing-of-the-past/

Try Thai Crystal or Tamnag Thai in Crystal Palace.

Yes, yes - all very Guardian. Go for a shop in areas in a 2 mile radius from where I live in CP and you can buy some very cheap meat and lovely veg - mainly from Lidl, local asian supermarkets etc. We don't all live in Kensington.

Not a great deal, the Rosendale pub (not what it used to be) and some posh/pricy shops. Not too far from Crystal Palace and Herne Hill which have better entertainment prospects. Nice houses. Yummy Mummy territory.

Added to which in such circumstances the hapless car driver might well suffer psychological damage of they hit a cyclist who had shot through red lights. A collision would also present a risk to other road users in its immediate aftermath.

OP does seem to be a ruse to flog summat and/or get people to peruse a webiste, however.... I am a right old insomniac and have been using acupuncture pressure points at the somewhat ridiculously termed 'inner gate' and 'spirit gate' on the inner wrist for a few years - it seems to help, although I am pretty much convinced that this is psychosomatic. Here's a guide to the points if anyone is interested http://www.ehow.co.uk/how_4422401_find-sleep-inducing-pressure-points.html Sod the fiddly kidney bean palaver though, I use these http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51ywqOGxlRL._AA160_.jpg (and no - I don't flog them!).

Oh dear.... maybe its because there are so many places to eat in CP but my last 2 experiences have not been great. Service is fine, and I love the decor but the food seems to have slipped somewhat compared to the 25 plus years I have been frequenting the place.

Dump him. No further advice needed.

Insanity - and dangerous for pedestrians and other cyclists too, you can bet your bottom dollar that the latter would be hurt rather than them if someone collided with them as they didn't show up. Bit of a thing going at night in my area with hoodied up muggers on light-less bikes - quick get away up back alleys :(
