  1. Fair play miga, I wasn't saying they didn't exist, just that I'd not met them.
  2. Nunhead Village. That's cheered me right up.
  3. I'd find that very difficult too. I'm not good at that stuff. Is there anything you could use as an "in", like does she carry a book with her that you could comment on?

Angusvanfrehley Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > A friend knows the chap who actually owns the building. I'd love this to be true, but that hardly sounds official.

  6. I think there are plenty of people out there that wouldn't give a shit about public backlash if they thought they might make some easy cash.
  7. I've never seen a Romanian of Bulgarian that looks Asian, but there you go. Anyway, my take on the whole thing is 1. If you're worried about ID Theft, don't be an idiot and throw out info which is not torn up. 2. I think they're probably after scrap and good luck to them. Hope I'm never that desperate. 3. If your issue is simply that you don't want these "gypos" in your front garden, then I hope they visit you often. 4. Why doesn't someone just approach them with a smile and ask what they're up to?
  8. I think more like ?12 an hour for an admin worker.
  9. In my day you could live in East Dulwich and go to school in New Cross. Aske's in fact. There were lots of kids from SE22 at Aske's back then. Oh how times have changed. The thought of a school just for one specific post code is funny though. This is a local school for local people!
  10. I don't think you can dismiss the probability of people saying things for compo, or coming forward about something that really hadn't bothered them at the time once they realised they could make a bigger thing of it. BUT The sheer number of people coming forward independently of each other should be enough to show that something was going on.
  11. Has anyone read a good summary of the trial and wjat evidence was presented. I'm not saying he's innocent at all, I'm just genuinely interested on how a jury comes to finding him guilty of 12 separate counts of something based mainly on accusation. Is it simply because of the number of accusations and the fact they came from people that didn't know each other? It just seems like there was little burden of proof, but I don't know how these things work. DaveR?
  12. Argentina without Messi really aren't anything remotely special.
  13. You're not alone cle (obviously), but I think it's more your tone which offends than your viewpoint.
  14. Oh in that case me neither. But guessing it was around 2007/08 and involved The Drum.
  15. StraferJack Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I seem to remember they were previously described > as east european - and now they are asian? That was my first thought. And yes, well said Deborah. Cle is something of an unpleasant snob judging by their posts on here.
  16. Went in to a shop and bought a DVD or CD.
  17. He was a clever bloke that Roald Dahl.
  18. The news last week said charts would now include streamed music, so yeah they still exist. I am so unbelievably out of touch with any new music though, I wouldn't have a scooby.
  19. had a childhood hero who didn't turn out to be a wrongun.
  20. It's a public statement, I don't know whether or not he's made any private apology, but that's the only sort that really counts for me.
  21. You'll never know. It Miiiiight even be him. You'll never know that either.
  22. Good that he's admitted what happened. And nice that he's apologised to the player, especially after Chiellini said the following the other day, which really impressed me. 27/06/2014 "Now inside me there's no feelings of joy, revenge or anger against Suarez for an incident that happened on the pitch and that's done. There only remain the anger and the disappointment about the match. At the moment my only thought is for Luis and his family, because they will face a very difficult period. I have always considered unequivocal the disciplinary interventions by the competent bodies, but at the same time I believe that the proposed formula is excessive. I sincerely hope that he will be allowed, at least, to stay close to his team mates during the games because such a ban is really alienating for a player."
